January 7, 2015We hinted toward these on Tuesday and just one day later, Nike releases first looks at their LeBron 12 and Kyrie 1 for February’s Black History Month (or “BHM”). Unlike previous years, the release dates for the BHM sneakers are spread out, although all of the pairs pictured will be releasing this month. The Kobe 9 BHM and Kyrie 1 BHM release on Jan. 19, while the KD 7 BHM and LeBron 12 BHM release dates are set for Jan. 24.
Do not adjust your monitor—these bad boys are very monochromatic, coming loaded in black, metallic silver and white. Irving’s is detailed with a white Hyperfuse upper which shrouds a black base and a white “two finger” detailing. The LeBron 12 has a data-like design on the upper and, per usual, will come completed with an icy translucent sole and the “BHM” insignia on the tongue.
The limited edition 2015 BHM Collection includes 28 items, all featuring a black and white palette and mix of three different prints. The collection ranges from performance to lifestyle with 12 shoes and 16 apparel and accessory items for men and women. James’ LeBron 12 will retail for $220 while the Kyrie 1 will retail for $130. Both can be picked up at the Nike Store or partner retailers on their respective release dates. The shoes will be a part of the entire collection which is complete with Jordan Brand editions and apparel.
