AL Central is closer to baseball’s worst division than best: WFNY Stats & Info
February 17, 2015Rummaging through the bargain big bin
February 17, 2015This is a Cleveland site and unless it has to do with the Browns, we generally don’t post it. That being said, I saw this Tweet of a proposed Jacksonville Jaguars practice field that features a three-tiered field and just had to share it with you guys. I was so taken by the pictures that I even justified the superlative headline.
It’s a part of a large development in Jacksonville and goes to show how a sports franchise can add to a city’s development. Of course, I haven’t read any details about who is paying for this and how, but still. It looks really cool.

Is there netting behind those field goal posts on the top level or are they just kicking the balls into the street?
That’s cool.
London will love that.
3-13. They deserve a High School field with Port-A-Potties.
Are you aware that one of those 3 wins was against the Browns? … and an easy win at that? … and the fact you are a CLEVELAND BROWNS fan?
It looks like a freaking cruise ship. Accordingly, I think they should add a pool somewhere and some water slides twisting down to the playing field.
And the advantage of this design is . . . ?
First question, WILL THERE BE POOLS OVERLOOKING THE FIELD?
Another 2015 Comment of the Year Nomination.
You can watch the Jaguars suck in many different levels.
Just hope you’re not walking on that orange path when a practice field goal goes over the netting.
Patriots fan here – you know, actual winners
I presume the top level is just a roof and not an actual field?

I don’t know how to properly convey how much this comment made me laugh.
Cool dead guy, wasn’t he in The Patriot?
Great!! Now I want to see the Browns build a similar practice field on Lake Erie. /sigh
Sorry the ALL of the lakeside land space is currently in use.

. . . and whoop-dee frickin’ doo!
Another dead guy. Got a theme going here. Dead team.
There is a comment about it looking like a cruise liner and he did say ON Lake Erie. Just saying…
OF COURSE!
Why use the actual land when we could JUST BUILD NEW LAND!
Let’s hope they add railings. I’m not sure how many wide receivers are going to be willing to run an OUT pattern on that top field. I can see Cecil Shorts diving for a pass while yelling “I regret nothing!!”
Except that he’ll be a Brown in 5 weeks 😉
Still upticked because Simpsons 🙂
Is the Navy shelling their field in that port picture? Because it seems appropriate.
Or just put the practice field on one of the islands on Lake Erie. Just saying…
hmm…… Move the Browns to an island?
Yeah, it’s time.
hmmmm … if they decide to put a team in L.A. , who would you guess it would be ? i wouldn’t be building this facility unless i knew for sure the jags are staying in jacksonville … you gotta think they did their homework.
pretty cool design , though 3 full fields seems like a bit much.
hi CMM … pretty sure a new practice facility would not be located IN cleveland … it would be columbus or akron , or something like that. the current facility in berea is outdated.
