March 23, 2015Pete Rose, and HOF eligibility: A Tribe Fan’s Perspective
March 23, 2015Could the soap opera in Berea become a reality television show? It appears that the odds are better than many would have hoped, especially those who would play key on-screen roles.
According to The Buffalo News’ Vic Carucci (who, as you may recall, previously worked for the Cleveland Browns’ official team website) the Browns are the front-runner to be featured on HBO’s Hard Knocks training camp series in 2015. No longer having a first-year head coach, and being littered with a slew of train wreck storylines, the Browns could very well find themselves in the spotlight.
In 2013, NFL owners decided that a team could be forced to participate in the reality show if the league receives no volunteers and a team 1) does not have a first-year head coach; 2) has not been to the playoffs in the past two seasons; 3) has not appeared on Hard Knocks in the past 10 years. The Browns, as luck may have it, were one of nine teams to clear this criteria.
A year ago, the Browns declined a chance to be featured on the training camp series. A team that has gone out of its way to remain as opaque as they come, it’s safe to assume that the last thing the want is a camera crew following them around training camp. While this could take the Browns to an entirely new level, what with quarterback Johnny Manziel still in tow and the team surrounded by negative publicity, it could ultimately be a good thing to have the mirror hoisted up in Berea, showing the front office that it’s not entirely perception that has the team cast as one of the league’s perennial laughingstocks.
The annual announcement usually comes in March or April. Stay tuned.

This is instant A or F for Browns.
A – Players are shown as disciplined, Pettine is shown as competent, Farmer is shown as dilligent, Haslam is never shown and organization gains credibility.
F – Everything the fans think is happening; is.
HBO does love it’s dramas!
Exactly.
Everybody loves a good trainwreck. Let’s do this!
True probably why part of me is really hoping they trade up for Mariota!
Even I’m not willing to go that far.
But, get this deal done now!
So, HBO can have their cameras posted outside the Betty Ford Clinic, and not miss the JFF money shot.
I wanna see footage of Gordon burning a baseball bat sized spliff while serving his suspension in Jamaica.
This has too happen!
Behind the scenes look at the making of the new logo and uniforms!!!

10 yr hiatus? I say we do it and just be done with it.
Am I the only one who thinks that cameras in their faces might actually straighten out some of the knuckleheads?
But will it be the Cleveland Titans or the Tennessee Browns?

I’d rather lose our eligibility by going to the playoffs.
with all that has happened to the browns , they would be the logical choice for an entertaining program.
