Cleveland State’s Quest for Big Dance Ends in Valparaiso
March 9, 2015Brian Hartline signs with Browns
March 9, 2015The Cleveland Browns have tendered qualifying offers to defensive back Johnson Bademosi, safety Tashaun Gipson, defensive lineman Ishmaa’ily Kitchen and linebacker Craig Robertson. Both Robertson and Gipson have reportedly been handed a second-round tenders to the tune $2.356 million.
A few highlights on the players involved:
• Bademosi has led the Browns in special-team tackles in each of his three NFL seasons since joining the Browns as an undrafted free agent.
• This season, Gipson became the first undrafted defensive player for the Browns to make to Pro Bowl since LB Mike Johnson in 1991.
• Last season, Kitchen played in 13 games, including the first three starts of his career and totaled a career-high 43 tackles.
• Last season, Robertson saw action in all 16 games with 11 starts. He finished third on team with a career-high 92 tackles, while adding four passes defensed, two interceptions, one fumble recovery and one touchdown.
By placing tenders on these for restricted free agents, the Browns earn the right to match any offer sheet signed by them with other teams on the open market. If a player has a first- or second-round tender placed upon him, the Browns would be rewarded the commensurate draft pick from the team in the event that team is able to sign away the player.

Quick! Everybody panic over the fact that Gipson got only a second round tender and not a first!
I AM PANICKING! AM I DOING IT RIGHT?!
i’d bring all of them back … kitchen’s fate may depend on the overhaul of the D-line.
