Closing Time: Buckeye Seniors Fall to Wisconsin in Columbus Finale
March 9, 2015Cleveland State’s Quest for Big Dance Ends in Valparaiso
March 9, 2015LeBron James is the best basketball player on the planet, but the four-time MVP was also one hell of a football player back in his high school days. The latest iteration of Nike’s LeBron 12 is an homage to just that: What if James chose football instead of basketball and was running routes as opposed to delivering thunderous dunks?
Dubbed the “What If?”, the latest colorway of the LeBron 12 represents James’ infinite athletic potential with a Deep Royal Blue and Metallic Silver upper, a translucent blue outsole and sky blue laces—or the colors of his favorite NFL team, the Dallas Cowboys. There is no real imagery used on the upper or Hyperposite heel, but the pull tab on the back of the shoe does have “What If” stitched in.
Lest any Cleveland fans get all bent out of shape regarding this homage to the ‘Boys, Nike released a Browns-based colorway of the LeBron 7 back in 2010 and may very well have another up their sleeve before it’s all said and done for this season. The “What If?” LeBron 12 will be released on March 14 at Nike.com (10am EST/7am PST) and will retail for $200.

Assuming Cincinnati still takes Carson Palmer at the top of the 2003 NFL Draft, I could see Detroit taking LeBron instead of Charles Rogers.
Those shoes aren’t representing the Cowboys, those are Lions shoes.
