Cavs don’t disappoint, Browns for Mariota? and more … While We’re Waiting
April 24, 2015Leave-land State: What’s going on at CSU?
April 24, 2015Following a national championship season that included one of the best stories in college football history, some of the Ohio State Buckeyes kickoff times for the 2015 season were announced on Thursday. The Buckeyes will host two primetime games this fall, both of which will be facing Big Ten opponents and on ESPN, ESPN2, or ABC. The two primetime games in the Horseshoe will be October 17 against Penn State (8 p.m.) and Minnesota on November 7 (7 or 8 p.m.).
During the 2014 season, the Bucks hosted three primetime games — September 6 against Virginia Tech (8 p.m.), September 27 against Cincinnati (6 p.m.), and November 1 against Illinois (8 p.m.). Urban Meyer has made it well known that he wants to have as many primetime games in Columbus as possible. Not only are these late kickoff games in the ‘Shoe great for recruiting, but it seems as though night games have a lot better atmosphere and create a different noise level as well.

Along with the two primetime games in Columbus, the Buckeyes will also have two primetime games on the road this fall — their season opener on September 7 (Labor Day) at Virginia Tech (8 p.m.) and at Rutgers on October 24 (8 p.m.).
In 2015, Ohio State will have a stretch of three consecutive games (October 17 vs. Penn State, October 24 at Rutgers, and November 7 vs. Minnesota) that are in primetime. Although there is a bye week mixed in that stretch, the scarlet and gray better get used to playing under the lights.
With so much talent returning and most likely a top-three preseason ranking for the Buckeyes, it’s no surprise that they will be a popular attraction for television audiences in 2015.

Correction: SEVEN primetime games.
Lol. The Hokies. They don’t count, right??
Mark May must be furious.
top-3? seriously, if they’re not preseason #1, there is some conspiracy.
