Next Up: Indians vs. Rangers in Cleveland
May 25, 2015Cavs up 3-0, Dirty Delly, plus Tomorrowland and Ex Machina – WFNY Podcast – 2015-05-25
May 26, 2015The Cavs’ phrase for this year’s playoffs is “All In” and the Cleveland area is trying to take it to heart, it would seem. TNT is reporting some really big numbers from the third game of the Eastern Conference Finals, and the epicenter of the big numbers is in Cleveland.
According to Turner Sports PR on Twitter, this is how big things got. The peak rating was a 7.2 HH rating nationally, which represents a 17% increase over last year. That means that 7.2% of American households were tuned into the game. The average over the course of the entire game was a 4.7 HH rating and it also averaged 7.8 million total viewers for the duration of the game.
In Cleveland though, is where it got intense. TNT earned a 32.0 in Cleveland, which represents the highest rating on record for TNT broadcasting a Cavs game in the area.
.@Cavs @ATLHawks Gm 3 earned a 32.0 in Cleveland, TNT's highest rating on record for a Cavs game in the market & 10.1 in Atlanta

The rating was 10.1 in Atlanta for relative comparison. And you’d expect Atlanta to be lower because the casual fans might have already jumped off the bandwagon a bit after the Cavs took the first two in their city, but this also speaks to Cavs fans.
They are on that bandwagon hard with this team. And it goes to show that this town is as hungry as ever and might just believe in this team a little bit, despite all the injury struggles. And as for the Cavs and their slogan, I don’t think they could ask Cavs fans to be any more “all in” than this.
