The sharp-shooting swingman sustained the injury in the second half when he and Cavs guard Matthew Dellavedova got tangled up chasing a loose ball. Like Kevin Love in Game 4 of the first round of the playoffs, Korver immediately left the floor and sought attention in the Hawks’ training room.
This news is salt in the wounds for the Hawks who head to Cleveland for Games 3 and 4 being down 2-0 in the series. Starting small forward DeMarre Carroll is also hobbled, sustaining a hyperextended and bruised left knee late in Game 1.
Though struggling over the course of the last several weeks, the 34-year-old was a big factor in Atlanta’s regular season success, hitting 49.2 percent of his three-point attempts en route to 12.1 points per game, his highest per-game average since 2006-07 when he was with the Philadelphia 76ers.

This just underscores what a physical specimen LeBron James is given the number of times he’s rolled his ankle, taken hits and the rest. Now Atlanta can see what it’s like to play shorthanded without one of their best players although personally I’ve never been that much of a Korver supporter.
Cavs in the Finals!
Yer just gonna come out here and poke the Cleveland curse gods with a stick aint ya?
Here me o fates! This Sham is an imposter, he speaks not for all of us. We know the fragility of of ankles and have an unquestioned belief in your power to to harm even the mighty Lebron. We ask for mercy and as an act of subservience I will break one of my child’s favorite toys in front of him.
Hate to see ALMOST anyone get hurt. Hopefully Kyrie will get a chance to rest until the finals now
