Young Indians fans talks smack to Cabrera, is rewarded with bat
June 24, 2015Possible draft options to fill the Cavaliers’ biggest needs
June 24, 2015For the first time since April 18 — before the playoffs began — Cavaliers star LeBron James has broken his silence on social media with a new Facebook post.
When “Zero dark thirty-23” was activated in mid-April, James decided to stay off social media, or at least stay away from posting on any social media site. In his newest Facebook post, James admitted that he is still “in a funk” from the Cavs’ loss to the Golden State Warriors in the NBA Finals. He wrote, however, that he knows his kids (both his own children and those involved in the LeBron James Family Foundation) and his city will always have his back, even through his struggles.
“It hurt to lose. I’ve been in a funk lately, but this… this is what motivates me to do what I do. How can I ever be down when I know my kids and my fans have my back?” James’ post said.
He once again assured the city of Cleveland that he loves being back in his home state with his hometown team.
“Being back home and back with my fans is everything that I dreamed of,” James said.
Without All-Star point guard Kyrie Irving and All-Star power forward Kevin Love due to devastating injuries that occurred during the playoffs, James did all he could to lead the Cavs and to try and bring a championship back to Cleveland for the first time since in 51 years.
In one of the greatest Finals performances of all time, James averaged 35.8 points, 13.3 rebounds, and 8.8 assists. He was the first player in Finals history to lead both teams in points, rebounds, and assists per game.
Later in the post, James said that he is not satisfied and isn’t happy with the ways things turned out in the 2014-15 season.
“I’m not satisfied… I’m not happy with the way things turned out… I PROMISE to get better,” James said.
Even with his incredible performance in the Finals, James still somehow believes that he can get a lot better. The Cavaliers are currently favorites to win the 2015-16 NBA Championship.
