June 30, 2015Just when you thought all the Delly Fever had passed, one delayed symptom of rears its head. The Cleveland Cavaliers plucky point guard couldn’t quite keep pace with Stephen Curry in the NBA Finals, but he appears to have made an impression while on the game’s biggest stage.
Dellavedova is in the headlines once again, as his jersey was the 14th-best seller in the NBA from April through June. (His teammates LeBron James and Kyrie Irving also made the top 15, if you care about those guys at all.)
Per the NBA, Steph Curry tops jersey sales for April-June. LeBron second. And, um, Dellavedova 14th?? OK then. pic.twitter.com/0qGKypbscI

It’s jarring how much “Matthew Dellavedova” sticks out here. Every other player on the list is a household name, or close to it. Delly had the league’s top-selling shirt after his standout performance in the Cavs’ Game 3 win over the Warriors, and those No. 8 DELLAVEDOVA jerseys are still moving,
The Cavs and Warriors look to have gotten a Finals bump, as the teams combine for 6 of the top 15 selling jerseys. Curry took the top spot from LeBron, followed by Derrick Rose, Kyrie Irving, and Klay Thompson. The next several names are longtime NBA stars like Kobe, Harden, Duncan, and Paul, and then, just above Golden State rabble-rouser Draymond Green, is our boy Delly.
Dellavedova’s future with the Cavs is uncertain. He’s a free agent, and the Cavs have extended him a qualifying offer that would make him a restricted free agent. We’ll have a better idea by the end of the summer if his jersey will be that of a Cavs rotation player or an oddity of a collector’s item. Either way, what a year for Maryborough’s favorite son.

Whats a fair price for Delly? I see him as a 3rd PG, or 2 PG against a team that is completely dependent on their PG to make their offense tick. is $3M a year fair for that type of a player?
