June 29, 2015And so the Kevin Love free agency begins: While We’re Waiting
June 30, 2015Cleveland Cavaliers forward Mike Miller has decided to return for another season. With NBA free agency beginning on July 1, Miller exercised his $2.8 million player option for 2015-16 — the deadline to do so was Monday night.
This news is according to Shams Charania of RealGM.

This is no surprise, as Miller said that he expected to exercise the option back in February.
In the final stretch of his career, Miller has been a teammate that seems to contribute more with his presence in the locker room and the bench than with his on-court performance. Although he can still shoot a bit when called upon, the 15-year NBA veteran is primarily a positive voice for the Cavaliers.
Entering his second season in the wine and gold, Miller has played for six teams in his NBA career. The 2014-15 season was the worst of his career statistically, as he played in 52 games while averaging 2.1 points in 13.5 minutes, shooting 32.7 percent from three-point land.
During the prime of his career, Miller was a very good shooter. In his career, as the 35-year old has averaged 11.3 points per game, while having a 40.7 percent clip from behind the arc.
One of LeBron James’ best friends when both were with the Miami Heat, it was long expected that Miller would opt for a second year with the Cavs. Although $2.8 million is a lofty price for a player who is largely on the bench, David Griffin, Dan Gilbert, and the rest of the Cavaliers front office place value on his presence. The trick will be filling in the roster spaces between Miller and the starting five.

Good if he is the 14th or 15th player
Agreed. If he’s playing outside of the last few min of a blowout in the Finals, that means something went wrong and we’ll likely be WFNY again.
This makes LBJ happy.
Nuff said.
Maybe 12 or 13 but close enough. He’s the Cavaliers Jason Giambi. I think Miller has a future as a coach.
Great! One of many moves that Cavs fans have dreaded this off season. $3 million for nothing – hope we can throw it into a trade!
