Sleeves and some throwbacks: Cavs rumored uniforms for 2015-16
July 23, 2015MLB Trade Rumors: Indians listening to offers for Carlos Carrasco
July 23, 2015The Cleveland Indians front office can’t necessarily get their lineup to hit better with runners on base, but they can control what happens to a coveted player in the trade market. According to FOX Sports’ Ken Rosenthal, Chris Antonetti and company have been receiving some calls regarding utility man Mike Aviles, but due to some extenuating circumstances, the Tribe has removed him from all trade talks despite the potential for improving the team’s roster over the long term.
#Indians drawing interest in infielder Mike Aviles, but will not trade him while his 4-year-old daughter, Adriana, battles leukemia.

Adriana, diagnosed in May, is receiving treatment at Cleveland Clinic. Aviles twice has gone on family medical emergency list this season.

WFNY discussed Aviles’ daughter and her battle a little while back, but it is definitely moments like this that remind us all that there are so many things more important in life than run totals and double play counts and RISP.
Here’s a sampling of some of the responses to Rosenthal’s report.
@Ken_Rosenthal that's actually so cool of them @Indians

To bad nobody wants Nick Swisher or Michael Bourn!
That is indeed a very classy thing the Indians are doing. Hopefully this kind of gesture is noticed by other players when free agency rolls around.
I love it when articles have the comments prefilled via Twitter for me.
