Browns Sunday Fumble: Rams, Gurley Roll Browns, 24-6
October 25, 2015With NFL streaming and Nike Air Mags, the future is here: While We’re Waiting…
October 26, 2015Johnny Manziel had occasion to play in the Browns’ 24-6 loss on Sunday against the Rams. Josh McCown went down injured and Manziel played some meaningless minutes at the end. As a result of that playing time, Johnny Manziel spoke with the on-site media after the game and a couple things came to light with regard to Manziel’s off-field incident that resulted in a couple 911 calls during a disagreement with his girlfriend. Apparently the NFL hasn’t spoken to Johnny Manziel just yet.
Johnny Manziel was adamant about the fact that he’ll cooperate fully with the NFL if and when the time comes that they talk to him. Other than that statement, he wouldn’t comment on what he referred to as an “ongoing” situation. While it’s good that he’ll cooperate fully, it’s interesting that the NFL has not spoken to him yet, despite the fact that it’s a part of an investigation. Johnny Manziel also addressed the Jason La Canfora report that he’d “lost focus” since losing the starter’s job despite winning a game against the Tennessee Titans. Manziel said he finds “solace” in the building in Berea and refuted the report pretty directly.
Johnny Manziel very well might find himself playing the next game against the Arizona Cardinals due to the injury status of Josh McCown. It will be additionally compelling to see if the NFL investigates the off-field incident by actually talking to the parties involved, namely Johnny Manziel, this week as he has a chance to be forced into service as the Browns’ starter.

The same NFL that did such a great job handling Rice and Hardy.
