October 20, 2015J.T. Barrett, not Cardale Jones, should be Ohio State’s starting QB
October 20, 2015In his latest work for The Players’ Tribune, Cleveland Cavaliers power forward Kevin Love is the focal point of a documentary style video which discusses his shoulder injury and path back to being 100 percent—if not better. For a series called “Singular Focus,” Love explains his fascination with Park City, Utah, the place where he went to train during the offseason. “It makes it a lot of fun to come here and train because something is always different,” says Love. “To get outside and clear your head and press the reset button before the season, I think that’s huge.”
Love recently discussed his “train high, live low” frame of mind that led him to rehabilitate well above sea level while executing his craft in a location less so. Training 7,000 feet above sea level leads to changes in one’s blood that allows for added oxygenation. Returning to a place like Cleveland, which is barely 1,000 feet above sea level, allows Love to “feel like Superman.”
Fans of the Cavaliers or sports-based science in general will appreciate the work from Players’ Tribune. Fans of Love will appreciate all of the work that the power forward put in in order to be ready for this coming season.

I have to believe LBJ played a role in the way Love has taken to rehabilitating and working on himself. I never doubted Love’s professionalism and desire this just reinforces it.
