Cleveland Browns make it four in a row, lose to Bengals, 31-10
November 5, 2015Cleveland Browns Week 9 Winners and Losers
November 6, 2015Good morning everyone! I know you all had a late night like I did, but here’s something to tide you over until you can caffeine up or hide in the bathroom to keep from working or whatever it is you do other than work.
Dwayne Bowe caught the ball and there was much rejoicing!

Why didn’t LeBron help up Kevin Love?
I’m not a conspiracy theorist, you know, except for those contrails that parade across our skies. It’s chemical mind control, I tell you! But seriously, this is weird. What’s the deal, LeBron? Can’t help a teammate up? Sheesh! Maybe helping someone up is the opposite of #StriveForGreatness or maybe Kevin Love still isn’t #LaFamilia. Twitter drama is certainly forthcoming.
Weekly moment of soccer zen…
I have no idea what happened here and I watched it a number of times. I kind of think it was intentional and brilliant. You tell me what you think.
Music of the week Beach Slang…
I am not going to simply copy Andrew this week with Beach Slang. I had a really cool experience. I saw the band earlier in the year. I eagerly awaited the release of their album. I loved my first couple listens and I reached out to the band to get them on the Scene Podcast and James agreed to do it. This is one of my favorite things I’ve ever done since I started writing and podcasting and whatever else. These are the exact kinds of interviews I would love to do all the time. Hope you dig it.
That’s it from me, have a great weekend. The Browns played on Thursday so either enjoy your extra bye week or enjoy the Cavs playing at 3:30 on Sunday afternoon. Regardless, enjoy.

1. At least the Browns game was over quickly.
2. Maybe LeBron didn’t see him or maybe he didn’t know that it was Love. LeBron looks down, but not directly at Love. If not, then it looks like one of those passive-aggressive things he seems to do on rare occasion, seemingly to remind everyone that he could be a real jerk if he wanted to be.
3. Brilliant, yes. Intentional, that would be a bigger stretch than LeBron didn’t see Love.
So much for my irrational confidence on the money line. Oh well
Dwayne Bowe did not look like he wanted to be out there, for one. Secondly, old fat and stupid is no way to run your routes son. Lastly, love how he was campaigning for a PI flag. Hi-larious.
Somebody just end this misery and release him already for chrissakes.
Re Lebron, gotta be that a dude protecting his trick back avoids hauling 6’10” teammates to their feet (notice the slightly remorseful backward glance). We must believe this is so or risk returning to last season’s middle school girl whispers and insinuations. Please, this is supposed to be the Year of Love, don’t start this.
Re soccer zen, looked like the stumble unintentional but the poke at the ball an attempt to salvage the play. That announcer giggling in German is somewhat disconcerting, or maybe it’s me.
Bowe caught three passes and led the team in receptions. Over at Profootballtalk they are saying that Bowe’s performance raises questions as to why he is behind others on the depth chart. As if his 3 for 5 for 31 yards is vastly superior to what we have seen. It’s one outlyer game where none of the receivers did anything of any significance. So Bowe was the least sucky of the sucky corps last. Let’s make a controversy over it!
Maybe Lebron didn’t recognize Love with his moustache?
The stumble was most definitely unintentional, but I agree that some degree of “I need to try to salvage this” happened on his way to the turf–effective, if not exactly graceful. More importantly, though: the little backheel-ish flick on the hockey assist was fun, and the assisting pass was weighted beautifully.
I’ve analyzed this frame by frame and i’m still not entirely sure what happened or why. This is truly damning stuff that I hope our national media can help raise awareness and ultimately foster some resolution between Lebron and K Love.
….
At 0-1sec clip Lebron is clearly looking at the shot and should have no awareness of Love, his positioning, or the oncoming fall.
At about ~2sec Lebron is looking away from Love toward the corner. It is unclear on his relative spacial positioning to Love as he’s partly obscured by Knicks players, however he appears to be approximately at the shoulder level (to Love). In that position and given what we know from the 0-1 sec clip, I would not expect Lebron to be fully aware of Love’s spill or the need to assist his fallen teammate.
At 3sec there is some seriously damning evidence against Lebron. You can see some shine on his neck (separated from his back hairline) that indicates the position of his head/gaze, which appears to be looking towards Love. You also get an unobstructed view of his positioning on the court and can see that he’s approximately at waist to shoulder level for Love. Furthermore from sec 3-4 clip you can discern a hiccup in his gait as he avoids Kevin’s arm (or perhaps knee). Given his view and intent to avoid stepping on his teammate, it appears certain that Lebron is aware that 1) someone has fallen and 2) that this is his teammate Kevin Love.
At exactly 5sec clip, Lebron briefly flashes back toward Kevin, acknowledging that he is aware that a teammate has fallen. The rapid shift of gaze back to the court and then David Blatt strongly suggests some level guilt and a potential cover-up.
At 11sec, Kevin Love (now recovered and fully upright) looks towards the bench. Given the video feed only partially exposes his face it is difficult to ascertain exactly who or what he is staring at. Lebron is now out of frame however it can be inferred from movement in 9-11sec clip that he is in the general vicinity of Love’s glare.
That’s one magic hiccup.
Now that I think about, I’m not sure LeBron ever helps teammates up. I think he usually lets someone do it. I’m certainly going to be watching next game to see if he ever helps anyone up.
TRISTAN THOMPSON MAKES ALL HIS MONEY DUE TO LEBRON! HE CAN CERTAINLY BE THE GUY HELPING TEAMMATES UP! THAT’S THE KIND OF STUFF HE DOES THAT JUST DOESNT SHOW UP IN THE BOX SCORE BUT IS ESSENTIAL FOR THIS TEAM.
AND, HE CAN HELP THEM UP WITH EITHER HAND. HE’S AMPHIBIOUS!!!!!
and there it is. “$82 x-large is more than a notion, T. You or your mom can clean the floor with your flipper. I’m here for the big picture stuff.”
He looked soo slow.
Open letter to LeBron James…..
Dear LeBron, help your teammates up off the floor.
Sincerely, Andrew (on behalf of all Cavaliers fans)
love the soccer zen !!
man , it is really hard to tell if he did it intentionally or not … to me it looks like he tripped & then improvised … the goalie’s reaction is priceless.
Cavs get to face the 76ers again tonight. Lets keep this win train a rolling. I’ll be curious to see if Mozgov learned anything from his first match-up against Okafor. Perhaps we’ll see Thompson in earlier for Timo.

4. LBJ doesn’t like Love’s new hair-do therefore he could not help him up.
I’m hoping it’s a Movember thing. Then in December he shaves the stache, and perms a flat top for Shump’s return.
