This is about the time of the season where the 3rd string QB puts together a couple of really nice games, before he gets hurt. Then we can have more uncertainty in the offseason, wondering if those couple/few games were enough to earn a shot at the full time starting job. Then, we can ignore the QB position in the draft, in lieu of drafting playmakers that will make it easier for whichever QB (the incumbent vet with no long term future, or the 3rd stringer who had a couple decent games) to win, either by “giving us a dominant pass rush” or by being a “weapon”, and in 52 weeks, we will be preparing for whoever the 3rd QB is next year to make his first start while we wonder if he might show enough to give him a shot in 2017. (Im assuming Johnny is a goner in the offseason. Not intended to be a statement for or against Johnny Manziel)
