December 12, 2015Browns—yes, the Browns—dominate the San Francisco 49ers 24-10
December 13, 2015Johnny Manziel may be getting the shot to start over the Cleveland Browns’ final four games of the 2015 season, but he’ll be going to battle with a depleted active roster. Wide receivers Andrew Hawkins and Taylor Gabriel will be inactive for Week 14 due to concussions, and Dwayne Bowe is a healthy scratch meaning that the second-year quarterback will have a receiving corps of Brian Hartline, Marlon Moore, Travis Benajamin and Terrelle Pryor, who will be making his first start with the club since being re-signed two weeks prior.
Pryor, who was waived by the team before Week 1 to make room for since-cut running back Robert Turbin, may ultimately be the healthiest of the pass-catching options as Hartline, Moore, Benjamin and tight end Gary Barnidge were all questionable heading into the game with various ailments. The former Buckeye was inactive during Week 13, a game that saw the Browns finish with just two healthy wide receivers. Whether or not he will see any playing time will remain to be seen.
Joining Hawkins, Gabriel and Bowe as inactives are cornerbacks Joe Haden, Justin Gilbert (both with concussions), and Pierre Desir, and offensive lineman Gabe Ikard.
Gabriel had believed he would be cleared to play this week, but remains in the NFL’s concussion protocol with several other key members of the Browns. Bowe’s had not practiced during portions of the week due to “non-injury related” items. Haden’s extended absence is a mystery as the team has offered very little in regard to his situation but he continues to be listed as having a concussion and having appeared in just one game since October 11.

Bowe is a healthy scratch again? Man, he must be doing some serious screwing up during the week if he can’t even suit up for this tire fire. Does he throw spitballs at teach during meetings? Make fart noises? Unreal.
And be didn’t perform poorly when he got on the field. This reeks of a personal vendetta against him by Pettine. And given our receiving options, that’s a tough pill for me to swallow.
Hope Pettine stops being petty in his next job.
I’m blaming this article for Hartline breaking his collarbone!
