NBA announces approval of official jersey sponsorships
April 15, 2016Analyzing the 2016 Cleveland Browns schedule
April 15, 2016Kyrie Irving is entering the NBA Playoffs as a No. 1 seed for the first time in his career, and the folks at Nike aren’t going to let their star guard’s accomplishments go unrewarded. Starting Sunday, Irving will be wearing what is called the “Crossover,” an edition of the Kyrie 2 that pays homage to the point guard’s insanely accomplished handle on the basketball.
Just ask the Houston Rockets.

Featuring a white outsole and white midsole combination (what’s up, summer?), the white mesh vamp on the forefoot is contrasted against midnight navy upper, and team orange and midnight navy strap with hypnosis-based graphics.
The “Crossover” comes in the wake of LeBron James and Kevin Durant graduating their signature lines to “Elite” levels for the postseason. The only catch: Where James’ red-based LeBron 13 Elite releases in advance of the Cavaliers’ Sunday Game 1 tip against the Detroit Pistons—and will do so in general release quantities—Irving’s playoff shoe will not release until May 14 and will do so in very limited quantities (similar to the “Double Nickel” that was released roughly a year earlier to pay homage to Irving’s 55-point night).
Fans who are lucky enough to land these bad boys will be looking at about $125 for the pair. Stay tuned for additional release information.
