Browns running backs, and Shawn and Shelby: While We’re Waiting…
May 13, 2016Film Room: New Browns WR Corey Coleman
May 13, 2016With the Cleveland Cavaliers patiently waiting to see who their opponent will be in the conference finals — either the Toronto Raptors or Miami Heat — star forward LeBron James fielded plenty of questions following Thursday’s practice.
One of which may be surprising to many, but considering the fact that he is 31 years old and in the midst of his 13th season in the NBA, James is more than halfway through his already incredible career. When asked by scout.com’s Hayden Groves about retirement, the Akron, Ohio native said that although he’s not sure when his last season will be, it’s not up to him; his retirement is up to his sons and daughter.
LeBron on how much longer he will play: "It's up to my kids. I miss so many of their tournaments, it'll be up to them."

His two sons are on the same AAU team, the “Blue Chips”, and while James tries to attend as many games and tournaments as possible when he is home, road trips along with home games make it hard for the star to make it to many of his boys’ games. James’ oldest son, LeBron Jr. is already so talented that he has his own highlight reels on YouTube.
Per cleveland.com’s Joe Vardon, when James’ kids tell him that they want him to retire and start attending more of their games and be home more often, he will.
“It’s kind of up to my kids, really. I’ve missed so much of my kids’ tournaments and things of that nature when I’m playing. So, it’s kind of up to them. They’ll let me know when they’re tired of seeing me go away.”
While James’ retirement talk may scare some, he still has plenty of seasons left in him, hopefully all of which will be in Cleveland. Heading into his sixth consecutive East Finals, having played 46.349 minutes in the regular-and-postseason, he reassured to everyone that he will play until late in his 30s.

LBJr… I know you read WFNY religiously so let me offer this advice. Shoot for a father-son combo thing like the Griffeys. Let daddy play until he’s 40 so you can play with him for a year.
Seriously, that would be awesome.
Sign them now, Mr. Griffin.
LBJr needs to go back to the flat top.
Win a title, retire, get a statue by the Q and go down as the best Cleveland athlete ever.
Alternatively, win 3 titles, then retire!
You mean other than Jim Brown. Besides being considered the greatest football player ever, his is also considered the greatest lacrosse player ever.
