From the Indians-

“The Cleveland Indians today announced they have purchased the contract of LHP MIKE GOSLING from AAA Columbus. To allow room on the Major League roster for Gosling, the Indians have designated RHP GREG AQUINO for assignment.

Gosling, 28, was signed by the Indians on June 5 and sent to AAA Columbus after being released by the Minnesota Twins on June 2. In 3 appearances at AAA Columbus he allowed just 1 run in 8.0 innings (1.13 ERA), yielding 6 hits while walking 1 and striking out 8. Before being released by the Twins, Gosling was 7-1 with a save and a 4.37 ERA (35.0IP, 33H, 17R/ER, 17BB, 34K) in 21 appearances at AAA Rochester. He owns a career Major League record of 3-4 with a 4.79 ERA in 43 games/9 game starts, most recently appearing with Cincinnati in 2007 where he went 2-0 with a 4.91 ERA (33.0IP, 42H, 22R/18ER, 28BB, 32K) in 23 appearances. He wears # 20.

Aquino made 10 appearances this year for the Indians going 1-2 with a 4.50 ERA (16.0IP, 13H, 8R/ER, 15BB, 11K).”

Try and contain your excitement.

I don’t get this one… I mean Aquino while looking very iffy recently with his location, showed some flashes when he was first brought up … I guess they are hoping to just get Aquino through waivers but even then

    … our bullpen just sucks
