Indians Minor League Affiliate to Giveaway Liposuction Surgery

While DP comes strong with his weekly piece on the Clippers and Jacob always delivers the goods on the Aeros, we have to give and take a bit here at WFNY. Thus, minor league teams like the Lake County Captains and Mahoning Valley Scrappers tend get ignored a bit. But thanks to this undeniably interesting – and perhaps baffling – giveaway, the Scrappers are officially back on the map.
The Mahoning Valley Scrappers and Valley Surgical Arts will be giving away a liposuction treatment to one lucky lady during the July 8th Scrappers game against the Auburn Doubledays.
Fans can register for the promotion by stopping by the Anthem Fan Assistance Center and filling out an entry form. The Scrappers will select five finalists that will be invited to the July 8th Ladies Night Celebration, sponsored by Valley Surgical Arts. During the game, the five finalists will be invited down to the field, where the Scrappers will announce the grand prize winner.
You can’t make this stuff up. I know that the minor leagues are known for their oft insane promotions, but this one has to take the cake. No pun intended. Okay, maybe a little.
The team is calling it a “unique” giveaway which may be the understatement of the year. The best part? The July 8th game against Auburn falls conveniently on an ”All You Can Eat” Wednesday. Talk about having your target audience in the house. Those Scrappers sure know how to promote.

the nationally-syndicated radio show, MJ in the Morning, does this year round. Its called “pick your plastic” and you get to choose any cosmetic procedure you want. While this is shocking for little old NEO, its not such an unusual giveaway for sexier parts of the U!S!A! (i.e. Florida)
