Minnesota Saves Money on Logo Design
This has nothing to do with Cleveland sports…but I thought it was interesting-

Our buddies at Ball Don’t Lie were kind enough to share the new logo for the Minnesota Timberwolves. The new logo is actually a secondary logo, meaning you will still see plenty of the old one. At first glance I thought it makes sense, and will be a nice addition, though they could still stand to get rid of that ridiculous font they use for their numbers. Then you start to look at it a little harder…

Does anyone else see the tree in the neck of the wolf? Come on guys. Copy, paste, change color? Is that really how you made a professional logo?

while its nothing groundbreaking, its still better than the mavs or wizards logos, which ive concluded are some of the worst logos currently in professional sports.

Thanks for pointing the tree on the wolf! I actually think that’s a neat touch.

they are called the TIMBERwolves.
seems like a great logo if you really look into it.
and seriously, from a graphics designer perspective, i bet that was more for art then “saving money” or “time”

@ john: The timberwolf is just the name of the North American wolf. It’s not like they eat trees or whatever
I like this logo, no matter what people say…
