Seriously, why even ask the question about Pavano’s trade value, what contender would even think about taking on that fragile not to be counted on fluff with a 5 plus ERA?

1.) Where did he get such an awful rug?
2.) Can he tone down that fake radio voice just a touch when filling in for
Matt Underwood?
3.) Does he give homerism new meaning?
I wish we could see the guy who invented Cleveland.

Given my disdain for the Sox/Yanks, if we received a sure-fire SP, I guess I’d be alright with Lee going to the Rays.
If the Tribe wants any chance of drawing more than 1.5 million fans next year, they better not trade Lee or Martinez. Doing so would waive the white flag on 2010.

Victor is my main problem. The guy says he wants to stay in Cleveland. Theres nothing certain that Lee will stay here after the year. Just waiting until the Indians Clean out the front office.
Why are they trying to trade our TWO best players?! Why?!?! I don’t want Clay Bucholz! I want Victor Martinez and Cliff Lee!
Boom…..seriously, Lee and Vic are gone, I’ve said that for over a month. There is not committment to you the fan, only to Paulie and Larry’s survival. Understanding that, you’ll understand that desperate people do desperate things.
Keep an eye on Shapetti.
Chances that Lee remains in Cleveland beyond 2010- none. Zilch. Nada.
Chances that Victor remains in Cleveland beyond 2010- 10% and that is only because he said he desperately wants to stay here. When the $$$ start getting tossed around he’ll jet just like the rest.
I am fine with trading Lee. Clearly he can’t wait to leave anyway.
But trading Vic, I have a real problem with. He’s an all-star caliber hitter at 1B, and it’s not like Garko is keeping him off first when Santana comes up next year. He wants to sign an extension and stay here. I honestly can’t believe they can’t work out an extension that would let us keep our all-star C/1B into his early 30s at a reasonable salary; pretty sure Vic isn’t asking for Hafner money.
Also, his middle name is Jesus. You don’t trade away Jesus.
Matthew: Victor was offered to the Red Sox for Clay Bucholz by the Tribe.
If he was offered once……..he’ll be offered again. He’s gone, and potentially by 7/31. Count on it, Jesus or not-Dolan’s are faithful only to their pockets.
