The OBR has some great stuff from the first day of camp. Best quote I’ve seen so far – “Interesting, but no surprise, was the physical nature of camp, where the Browns were very combative during scrimmages and 11-and-11 drills. Linemen were just pounding.” (Barry McBride, The OBR)

I hear that recovered knees are important for basketballing. ”If he can make a full recovery, getting Powe would be a steal, no doubt. But with the Cavs in the luxury tax, it also doesn’t make much sense to make a large offer when his future is so uncertain and he couldn’t play for months. There is a ground for both sides to share the risk, but based on what I’m hearing I don’t think either Powe or the Cavs have found it with each other yet.” – [Brian Windhorst, Plain Dealer]
I’m not sure about you guys but I love reading articles about how the Red Sox now have the problem of too much talent to go around at 1B, C, and DH. Thanks, CNNSI.com – just what I needed to see. [Cliff Corcoran, CNNSI.com]

I like to assume things. ”While the Big Ten trumpeted Pryor’s league-leading 151.3 passer rating after the award, left out was the fact that he averaged 100.8 passing yards per game, 10th in the conference. I think most Big Ten fans and college football analysts believe Pryor is going to get there. But you can’t just assume it. And he’s not there yet.” [Doug Lesmerises, Plain Dealer]
