12 PM (EST) | Ohio Stadium, Columbus, Ohio
ESPN, WKNR AM/850 | Ohio State (-21.5)

I hope you all made it to this point as it was the latest start in a college football season in over 20 years.  The Buckeyes will host the Midshipmen of Navy and have encouraged fans to give their opponent a standing ovation upon entrance.  Terrelle Pryor and company are a three-TD favorite in this one.  Let’s hope they start this season off strong, being ranked sixth in the nation and all.

FWIW, I’ll be following the game on Twitter as well as here.  Go Bucks!

Corso just predicted LSU losing to Washington. High comedy on Gameday today.

    wow….our defense is terrible

The supposedly great DLine has to step it up. They had a good push on a couple of those plays but it only worked out really well (loss) on one play.

I think Navy just surprised the Buckeyes defense with the triple option. Buckeyes will adjust and shut it down…….just like they did right there.

    Now THERE’s a DLine play.

Pryor 10/13 passing, has 140 total yards and two TD”s with five minutes to go in the first half. If it were not for the defense being sub-par so far, this would be the lead story.

Bob Griese – “Not a good start for the Naval Academy.” Ya think Bob?

Wow…I had high hopes for next week’s game…but we’re going to get destroyed if this is the defense that shows up.

and if this offense shows up. The running game is looking Browns-like.

    OSU Fans – nervous yet!!!

  • 11. September 5, 2009

USC is going to do mean things to the Buckeyes.

At least we saw a pick two.

i couldn’t be more disappointed at how incredibly awful our offensive line looks

  • 13. September 5, 2009

@ UNseaW – exactly. If they can’t get a push against a line they outweigh by 40 pounds, they’re not going to do anything against SC.

It’s game one, so there are going to be some kinks to work out…but honestly, if anyone thinks at this point we’re going to defeat USC… :’(

Wow. The O-line looks just as bad as last year. Browning is as useful as a pylon. No push whatsoever on the running game. Porous on at best on pass protection. Pryor was throwing high all day. He played good, but no great. Not worried about the D. Except for Russell making a habit of getting burned, although by the looks of it he was expecting help.

Tressel has to be held accountable for the O-line. Bollman should have been out on his butt 2 years ago. No excuse with the talent they have to be out played by inferior defensive lines game in and game out.

Saine looked pretty good, finally. Nice to see him both on the field and running into contact. The return game looked decent, too.

Too bad both lines were far below where they should have been.

The entire team should be ashamed of Pryor making a controversy politcal statement, on his face, on national TV. To eploit such a sensitive issue is ridiculous for someone who is suppose to be a leader. The coaching staff should have made him remove this or not play. Many of us are furious and have decided not to watch any more buckeye games for the remaining season.

    @ Anthony – really? I mean, I love my dogs… but REALLY?

Are you also going to participate in absolutely 0 NFL related activities this year? Because they reinstated him and even lessened his punishment to 3 games.
