Every once in a while we have guest posts, and today is one of those occasions. We’ve got a post from Brian Spaeth, who is almost as busy as LeBron in publicizing his own movie, Who Shot Mamba? Brian likes Twitter and doesn’t like question marks.–
I set out to do two things in my guest post here at WFNY, and those two things were “something” and “anything”.
For guidance on this, I emailed Denny to ask him what kind of things might be workable. I know of guest-posting – I’ve been doing it every day for two weeks now – but I wanted to be sure my hometown blog got something really nice and special.
Denny: WFNY is understandably quite football heavy right now, so I’d say that Cavs-related things would be good because it’d be a change of pace for us, and I’d guess that’s where you’d be most comforted.
Scott, do you have any thoughts.
Scott: I concur. We can always go for a tale of the tape between Wally Szczerbiak and Rob Kurz…
Brian: What’s up with Wally – did we re-sign him.
Scott: No… but we have a new Wally in Kurz. Even down to the pomade.
I edited out some material suggesting Delonte West commentary, but that there is the inner workings of a major Cleveland-based sports blog. That’s how it happens.
Anyway, this is the email I sent to a guy I know at the Cavs:
Hey [redacted] –
I’d like to interview something known as a Rob Kurz. It’s for a WFNY, the 3rd largest video game review website on the internet as of March 2009. I don’t know anything about him except he’s the new Wally S, so like I want to mainly quiz him on what it’s like to be the new Wally S.
The best way to do the interview would be to trick him into sleeping with my sister and then like he’ll be vulnerable, and I’ll feed her questions through a spy-microphone. How can we make this happen.
Thanks,
Brian Spaeth
PS You may remember me from a few years back when I kept asking Dan Gilbert for free LeBron Fatheads for my movie I was making. You eventually buckled and gave them to me.
PPS Can you ask Dan Gilbert for a free spy-microphone to do the interview with.
So that’s pretty much the plan, and as you can see, I’ve paved a little path for both a follow-up post, and also for becoming a brother-in-law to Rob Kurz, who you can learn about right here.
Personally, I don’t see how a 25-year old 2nd year player who averaged 3.9 ppg is a replacement for Wally, who was actually somewhat productive last season, considering what he was asked to do.
Do you think Rob Kurz will get on the court at all this year, and how unsettling is it to have this post on WFNY. I used to run a blog, and I know everyone hates guest posts about Rob Kurz.
NOTE: I don’t watch the Browns because it’s like petting a cloned dog. I just can’t get into it at all. Do you think I’m a bad person for that.

Brian Spaeth is the writer and star of Who Shot Mamba?, a Broadband Motion Picture debuting October 13th on Koldcast.tv. You can see the second trailer exclusively at the Facebook Page, and it’s the public’s first look at Bill Walton’s footage. Brian has also published two novels, and writes regularly at his own blog.

Probably the best guest-post about Rob Kurz in the history of the internet. And if you don’t believe me, just ask Kanye.
OF ALL TIME!!!
Wow you guys are like the first people to use that in a hilarious context. Good job.
To answer your questions Brian – I feel the same way about the Browns but more in a “wolf in sheep’s clothing” sense, except I don’t think the Browns would eat me. And I think on a scale of 1-to-unsettling, this post is a 26.
I really don’t know what i’m feeling right now…other than very uncomfortable. Enjoyed it though, nice change of pace.
That is pretty much what I expected from a Brian Spaeth guest post. And I mean that in a good way.
Rob Kurz looks an awful lot like 2WO G2N G2Y.
TOT what are you talking about -
I don’t know what ‘Fathead’ means and I’m frightened to find out.
That Kurz is a cutie pie –
I would like to pet a cloned dog.
i will always praise anything brian spaeth does.
5, 8, & 9 win the comment trophies so far.
Hey, Rob Kurz is a nice guy. I met him once at school. And he was a solid player at ND. Not sure how much he can contribute in the pros, but I do know as the new Wally his name is about 87xs easier to spell.
My time: can I have it back?
