This is one of the situations where I think, if only the world was created a half hour earlier it would be 7 30 now! Come on clock!

So my fiancee is upstairs not feeling too well and normally she gets up at 6:30pm; she works the night shift. Because she isn’t feeling well she’s going to sleep until 9:30pm to try to feel better before work. Since she is doing this we were originally planning to watch a movie and do dinner tonight but now we can’t and I can now watch the game.

I feel conflicted; I really hope it’s nothing bad and she feels better (although I am sure she will) but now there’s about 8.4% of me that is ecstatic I can now watch the opening game.

    Don’t let me down LeBron!

Btw, all those that can watch, have me in mind. The most I can do is keep clicking refresh on my phone.

    What a way to start.

Offense looks pretty fluid so far, Boston’s missing their looks but the Cavs have forced a few turnovers as well.

Nice start for O’Neal. Interesting to see how this second unit works together.

Then again, LBJ making step-back 3s are pretty tight.

Hickson wasted a great pass from LBJ…grrr.

The look on Doc Rivers and Paul Pierce’s faces a second ago sums up why I hate the Celts so damn much.

    Couple of thoughts…

    1) Lebron is a beast. Some of his blocks are unreal. Him in the low post this year is going to be sick.

    2) Varejao, for $8.3 mil, I hope we get more than this out of him. For game 1, Old Rasheed > Andy.

    3) JJ Hickson, looking pretty good in his limited time.

    4) Ilgauskas, missing too many open jumpers

    5) The Cavs have lots of talent, they just need to figure out what sets work best and get comfortable with them.

    6) I still hate Boston.

I don’t know if I would say JJ looked good. To me he looked lost…didn’t box out well, a step behind on D…not impressed.

Perimeter D still not good. Backcourt really thin. I don’t know if Antonio Daniels will help, but if he keeps Gibson nailed to the bench, I’m all for it. At least he wouldn’t be a total embarrassment defensively.

Most importantly, the Cavs really (and I mean really) miss Delonte West.

Once again, Mike Brown robbed us of all of our momentum with that across the board sub in the 2nd quarter. Can someone possibly with more basketball knowledge than me explain the logic he has with those subs? I mean rest is good and mixing it up is good, but why take EVERY ONE out when we are absolutely steamrolling them?

Any one who thinks this regular season is going to be anything like last year’s is dreaming any way. Last year, the stars perfectly aligned for us in the reg. season. The east is deeper and more experienced as well. We are simply not going to put up that kind of a record again. Hell, even if we had D wade or Bosh to go with LBJ this year we would have trouble matching that record.

I will say, if Delonte doesn’t get his act together, we are STILL a fatally flawed team in terms of depth. There will be no championship without him.

    @DJ,

I should say JJ looked much improved. I think I posted on here a few times that last season he looked completely lost. From what I saw last year from Hickson I didn’t know why everyone was gushing over him. This season, he actually appears to be developing. It would be great for him to make an impact this season.
