The Browns host the hated Ravens and the Monday Night Football crew this coming week. There is a chance you won’t be able to see the game on television, Who will be the starting QB for the Browns? Shhhh…we wouldn’t want to give the Ravens an advantage would we? (See how dumb that sounds?) Will Mike Holmgren be in town to catch the game? Is Eric Mangini coaching for his job? Lot’s of story lines for this one. That’s not even mentioning the whole ‘Brown Out’ thing.
Don’t want to spend your hard-earned cash on this team? We don’t really blame you. So let us do it for you. We have a pair of tickets to give away. The seats are in section 345, about halfway up. The face value is $45 bucks each. They could be yours for nothing.
If you are interested in the tickets (and would actually GO, please don’t waste these) all you have to do is leave a comment with the phrase “I’m in”. We will draw a name from all the entries on Friday. One entry per person and IP address. That’s it. Good luck! (Note: First time c0mmenters will get stuck in queue – be patient, we’ll approve when we can. Thanks!)

I’m in! Listen, we are Browns fans people. That is a hard job, for tough people! Being a Browns fan is something you are born for. Selected by God because you must do the good work of supporting this Trainwreck of a team to keep alive the memories of ‘The Good Ole Days.’ We as fans have an obligation to OURSELVES here! We started losing, we didn’t give up. Our team was ripped away from us, we didn’t give up. We started losing again, and we are still here! So this isn’t our year…we are used to that! There are fantastic athletes in our town right now that deserve our support! Case in point: Joshua Cribbs. How about Pool, Lewis, or Rogers, Phil Dawson for christ’s sake! And let us not forget the new kids on the block! Robiskie, and Massaquoi. Cleveland has a reputation around the world for having the best fans. It is high time we are rewarded with the best team. But let’s not forget to show our love and respect to the players who DO make a difference, and play their hearts out for us every week!
Dave takes an early lead.. showing some enthusiasm.
Unfortunately for me, myself and some buddies already bought tickets for this nightmare before the season started. Look for us holding the giant “RANDY, THESE ARE THE LAST TICKETS WE’RE PAYING FOR” sign. At least it’s a night game, so there’s plenty of drinking time before hand. Hopefully the local blackout will be me, and I won’t remember wasting my monday night.

If i don’t win i’ll start a protest, get a meeting with the editors, and then start a counter protest to protest my own protest. Then I’ll start petitions and websites for both and make up numbers of how many emails i have received supporting both protests. Then i’ll get confused and realize how stupid all this sounds and… step 3: profit? :p

I was there for the giants game last year. Actually traded in my browns mbna points to get 50 yard line club seats. That was an awsome time. How long ago does that game feel?

its a prize only if something momentous happens. like Tim Couch being knocked out of the game and the crowd going crazy when Holcomb goes in or when the ref singles out one of our guys and throws a bean bag at his eye, or when we play the Jags and 30k people start heaving beer bottles. I have been to each of these games. although the games sucked, they were all prize games in my book.

If you are providing round trip plane tickets (first class only) as well as accomodations, I might be in.
I’m in. And I will participate in the ‘Brown out’ or whatever its called because I’m righteous, not self-righteous. This may not be the idea I would have come up with, mostly because I don’t have the money to buy tickets, but it is already working. Dawgpound Mike, love him or hate him, he met with the owner of the Browns for 2 HOURS! It seems like a lot of people are just jealous, because they did not come up with the idea. Yes, coming in after kick-off seems trivial, but season ticket-holders can’t do much else. Show some solidarity and make this happen. Show the world that we care about our team by showing we will pay the money, we will show up, but WE ARE PISSED. Once we are in the stands cheer like never before, show whatever QB the support noone else is showing him. Show guys like Trusnick, who has worked his ars off to become an NFL starting LB that we believe in him. If we as fan cannot even work as a team on something as simple as extending tailgating, then everyone outside who tunes in will just have another reason to laugh at us and our city. WE NEED TO DO THIS. Maybe this will be the motivation the team needs, that they are not getting anywhere else. Bags on your eads makes you look stupid. That is all it does. I am proud to be a Brown’s fan. I will never be ashamed. The first Brown’s game I can remember was ‘THE FUMBLE’ I was 6. I have only heard about the ‘glory days’ before the NFL, but I know this city will explode once this crap is turned around. I work very close to the stadium, so I will be ther reguardless, but I want to be able to say I was there when EVERY FAN together showed the world WE EXPECT MORE!

Hey Rick, it’s Joe and guess what…. “I’m in”
Some Reasons why (not that any of you may care):
-I’m sick
-I’ve tried to stop liking the Browns and I can’t
-I’m sick
-I still care for some reason
-I’m sick
-I really do want Brady to be the guy
-I’m sick
-It would be really cool to take my son
-I’m sick
-I don’t think the brown out will really happen anyway
-I’m sick
-Rizzo says the game will be on Fox 8 no matter what but….
-I’m still sick…. I enjoy losing

@ Brad #144…It is SO sad! I would say Browns fans are down to about 20%, and of that 20% most of them are ashamed to admit it in public! There are the Canton Browns Backers, always @ the Lizard making a stand (and God Bless them for it) and my friends, and a few random guys. That is about it for the unashamed! I always have some sort of Browns gear on my person, and the same thing always happens, Random person: “So you’re a BROWNS fan?!” Me: “Yes, Die Hard” Random Person: “I’m sorry to hear that. Go St**lers” It is so disappointing. Embarrassing. I mean I live 10 minutes from the Pro Football Hall of Fame, thousands and thousands of football fans move through this town every year, and 60 miles south of Cleveland we can’t even support our own team! In my opinion, being a Browns fan really speaks of the loyalty and dedication in a person’s character. I will say on a side note, that not all Pitt fans are awful. There are some, including and maybe limited to the ones I am friends with, that truly miss the rivalry. You know, when it wasn’t a joke. They are polite about it, and have been fans since they were kids for one reason or another. They aren’t the band wagon bunch like the most of them. Hell, one even took me to the Packers game on October 25th for my birthday…and to meet Bernie the following week. But still…
