While We’re Waiting serves as the early morning gathering of WFNY-esque information for your viewing pleasure. Have something you think we should see? Send it to our tips email in the sidebar.

CLEVELAND - NOVEMBER 21: LeBron James #23 of the Cleveland Cavaliers joins the fans in performing O-H-I-O in tribute of the Ohio State Buckeyes during a break in the action against the Philadelphia 76ers on November 21, 2009 at The Quicken Loans Arena in Cleveland, Ohio. More on the mural: “I agree with those who rejected the idea of the new Nike mural of a bare-chested LeBron James in “prepare for combat” mode for the 10-story mural in downtown Cleveland. It seems the Nike people (if not James) should be aware that there is a real war going on with real people from Northeast Ohio in danger every day. Those women and men are the real soldiers, not some guy in the NBA. Nor does the ad say a single word about Cleveland.” [Terry Pluto/Plain Dealer]

In case you were concerned about Matt Stafford’s shoulder after he was CJ Mosley’d, it appears he’s okay. [Wayne Fontes Experience]

LeBron continues to get better: “Chris Ballard’s new book The Art of the Beautiful Game was recently released, and although I haven’t picked up a copy yet, there are a few excerpts on SI.com. One of them centers on the “Basketball Whisperer” — a former lawyer with no formal hoops coaching or training experience. Idan Ravin nevertheless is a sought after commodity for NBA players. Upon a recommendation from Chris Paul, LeBron visited Ravin in the summer of 2008.” [The Silent Z/'64 and Counting]

Is the Cavaliers’ string of recent fourth quarter succcess being aided by “computer assistance?” [Wine and Goldrush]

And finally, how the Browns would use LeBron James if he made the jump to the NFL.  Thankfully, only two percent of the time is used on last play hook-and-laterals. [The Kardiac Kid]

Man, LeBron performing the OHIO made me smile. I was worried he’d start singing “Hail to the Victors” given his past Yankees horsecrap.

All of you (and you know who you are) who have been passing judgement on QB’s that haven’t played an extended period would be served better by OBSERVING and not reacting-we’ll all know better what we have at year-end. It’s just possible that there indeed IS a QB on board that can develop chemistry with his young receivers and provide some semblence of hope for an otherwise Manscum of a season. Those of you who insessently make gratuitous comments suggesting who won’t be on next year’s roster and who should be drafted……….give yourself some credibility and OBSERVE first. (or you’ll end up like bobby-who makes one absurd pontification after another with zero basis).

Don’t sheep bobble-observe. Don’t suggest somebody can or can’t throw over ten yards until he plays. Let it play out………the new regime next year may have a few pieces to build around instead of replacing. Let it play out. Observe-don’t react.

    1) Quinn sucks. He did that against the Lions.

    2) That link to Gzrzrzrzrzzzz looks familiar. Saturday morning, mayhaps?

I knew I saw it somewhere… Dammit. Sorry, Denny.

Oh my God, I just figured it out. Isis is some sort of performance artist, just trying to say the most ridiculous thing he can think of just to get a rise out of everyone. Like Ann Colter. I am starting to enjoy it in an ironic sort of way.

    I think its Denny.

I really enjoy sheep bobble. I react every time a sheep bobbles in front of me. That’s real performance art there Mark.

@ #6 – I promise that I’m not Isis, but even some of the writers here think it’s me. I may be talented, handsome, and amazingly charming – but I’m not brilliant enough to pull off an alter ego like that.

And NullyFurtado – I have a sheep bobblehead doll that I keep in my bunker.

Isis, you’re like Dwight from The Office… except somehow less likable. You’ve become a parody of yourself.

‘Question. What kind of bear is best?’
    ‘That’s debatable.’
    ‘FALSE! Black bear!’

I personally love that dreamy eyed man boat QBs get till season’s end to prove themselves, but rookie WRs get exactly 6.24 seconds.

  • 13. November 23, 2009

Denny-o-saurus: Do you also keep a healthy amount of punch down in said bunker? If not I will invite my friend the Kool Aid Man along with me to view this bobble head.

Isis still isn’t as bad as Skip Bayless. At least Isis is right every once in awhile.

Quinn looked fantastic. Against the #31 defense in football. Observe ‘Deez’ Isis.

Lebron doing the O-H-I-O could only be his way of saying goodbye to Cleveland and headinf to NY, right SI, Yahoo, National media? (dripped with sarcasm).

  • 17. November 23, 2009

It was actually the #32 defense, both in total yards and in passing yards allowed. That said…

    HULK SMASH! RAWRR!!!

Guys, regardless of who the defense was, it proves that Quinn has talent…when he has time to throw the ball. SO if you extrapolate the defense to a higher quality, you see (not that we didn’t already know) that we need to improve the right side of the line and give this kid time to do what he can do.

That excerpt from that book is incredible. Any more info on that book and what it’s really about? I’d pick that up maybe. I suggest taking 2 mins to read those few paragraphs.

Let me just say these things. First Brady Quinn blows go ahead keep him and you’ll have a good amount of losing seasons. Second the hit on Matt Stafford was Roughing at the very least driving a QB into the turf was a penalty last I checked. Im sure there will be a fine handed down. And third I was just wondering when Tate Forciers name was going to appear on OHio States roster since he single handedly gave the Buckeyes a victory on Satuday????
