While We’re Waiting is a round-up of Cleveland sports info from around the tubes. The kind of stuff you like to read while snowed in, etc. Send links you think we’d like to our tips email.

Well it’s clearly beause I never entered the NFL as a kick returner. ‘On whether or not [Cribbs] thinks any returner is better than him: “Nope. I can’t because I have the record. I’m welcoming all challengers but I didn’t get there all by myself. It’s a host of people that helped me get to where I am today.”’ [Sports Radio Interviews]

Bullets 4Eva runs through the case to #FreeAntawn now: “Antawn Jamison’s time in DC is up. It was arguably up last season — I remember arguing that then — but at least the Wizards could rationally believe that Gilbert Arenas would come back, everyone’s injuries would go away and they could make one more run toward semi-contention. At this point, though, there’s little justification for keeping him beyond the trade deadline. All this hand-wringing with the Cavaliers better be just the typical negotiating that teams do two weeks before the trade deadline, and not a sign that Jamison is here to stay.” [Mike Prada, Bullets Forever]

Leon, hey! “The guy has been injured all season and will be competing for playing time with Anderson Varejao and J.J. Hickson when he returns, but he will the Cavs X-factor this Spring. Celtics fans will never forget his 21-point performance in Game 2 of the 2008 Finals, which included 13 free throw attempts, as Powe beasted the entire Lakers frontcourt.” [Dime Mag]

Grady enjoys the coffee mugs in Cleveland, would like to stay after 2011. “I hope there is a long-term future for me here,” he said. “I’ve always enjoyed being an Indian. I’d love to spend my career here and be a part of this organization for as long as I can.” [Stephanie Storm, ABJ]

11W, being very good at what they do, has video of the OSU coaches talking about each of the 2010 class signees. [11W].

The case for why we wuz robbed at the ASG. [Fear the Sword]

    Love hearing that even wiz fans want JamIson in wine in gold.

    Depressing to hear Grady say that. If only cc and cliff had felt the same.

    So Grady is the next to be traded then right? That’s how it works right? They want to stay and we get rid of them.

    @TSR3000:

    CC, Cliff, and all the rest of them have said the same things, and maybe even genuinely felt that way. None of this changes the possibility of the front office shipping them off or their choosing to go elsewhere when more money (and likely a better chance of winning) presents itself.

    Does JJ’s recent play have anything to do with the Wiz fans wanting to move ‘Tawn?

    Jamison to Cleveland, make it happen Ferry! Grady’s days with the Tribe are numbered but in a way I feel good for him because I can’t see him contending any other way then by leaving. It’s unfortunate but it’s also reality.

    Hope Grady wants the league minimum. Otherwise, he is too rich for Ebenezer Dolan.
