Open Thread: AFC North

Tennessee Titans at Baltimore Ravens: 1 PM EDT, CBS
Cincinnati Bengals at Dallas Cowboys: 4:15 PM EDT, CBS
Pittsburgh Steelers at Jacksonville Jaguars: 8:15 PM EDT, NBC

Sure, the Browns may be on a bye, but this doesn’t mean that we can’t all enjoy some football together.  As Chris over at DBN pointed out earlier this week, Browns fans will have all three AFC North games on their television sets this weekend.

Earlier this week, we discussed the scenario that a loss by all three teams would leave the Browns one game out of first place in the division, despite only having one win under our belt.  And as Matt recommended  yesterday, it is a good bet to assume that three losses come across the boards.  Feel free to follow along in the comments this week.  Three AFC North teams facing three very tough opponents.  And as long as one of those AFCN teams isn’t the Browns for once, I think it’s something we can all embrace.  Especially since Joe Buck and Troy Aikman won’t be calling any of said games…

Enjoy your Sunday, folks.

I thought that I would be in the group who would enjoy watching the Titans beat the Ravens today but CBS has the Colts and Texans on here in the Mansfield area. Oh well.

Yeah, no Ravens game here in Columbus, either. But, to be honest, even it is were on here, I would still be primarily watching the Eagles-Redskins game. This has been an excellent game so far.

We’ve got the Ravens here. But I’m in southern KY. I was really hoping that maybe I could root for the Titans this week, but I can’t bring myself to do it. I can’t stand them. I wish they could both lose.

All of us in Texas, say your welcome for beating your cross state rivals. Now we are looking at you Jacksonville.

The Browns are really lacking an impact defender like Polamalu. I realize this fact is obvious, I just felt it needed to be said.

Here’s another fun fact for you guys. Watching the Pittsburgh game with less than two minutes to go. Pitt is down by 1 and it’s third down. Instead of playing it safe and running the ball to stall the clock a little bit and get the field goal. They obviously go for a passing play (no one in the backfield). What do you know, a touchdown pass to Ward. I think why I hate the Steelers so much is because they’re good, and always beat up on the Browns, so I pretty much envy them. I 100% guarantee if that was the Browns in that position Romeo would have made the call to run, probably get 1 yard and then kick the field goal. The Browns coaching staff has no backbone. I hate it.
