Wait, How Many Octobers Are There?

The Phillies beat the Dodgers last night in game one of the NLCS, and the Rays take on the Red Sox in game one of the ALCS tonight. I didn’t watch a pitch of any of the Division Series games, and likely won’t watch much of the LCS games either. As I was watching the highlights this morning I questioned who I really wanted to win the whole thing this year, and I thought I would share that with you.

The vindictive side of me wants to see the Red Sox play the Dodgers. That side wants Derek Lowe to win 2 games against Boston, throwing a pair of one or two hitters. It would also like to see Manny Ramirez hit a couple of walk-off blasts to beat Boston.

However, as much as I hate Boston and it’s fans, I can’t bring myself to root for that series. I’m hoping for a Phillies/Rays series, with Philadelphia winning it all. Not because of Charlie Manuel, or any current Phillie player. No, I’m rooting for Philly because I respect the 700 Level and the rest of the Philly fan base. I also would hate to see another expansion team win a World Series before the Indians (see 1997.) So go Philadelphia! I’m rooting for you now. Even though I probably won’t be watching. Or really cheering.

I’m hoping for a Dodgers/Rays mainly cuz of the former Indians on the Dodgers and i personally think maddon is one of the best managers in the entire sport. In a world full of prima donna athletes, he is a hard nosed guy who doesn’t let his guys take a play off.

I heard that if it’s a BoSox vs Dodgers World Series that Manny would get bonus checks from both teams, so if that is true part of me wants that series so that BoSox have to spend more money.

Dislike for the Red Sox aside, I want to a Dodgers/Rays series because the Rays are a solid team and I want the Steinbrenners to take one in the gut for letting Joe Torres go proving that they are not “all knowing” when it comes to baseball.

I am rooting for a similar series, with the same result. I am curious how many Tribe fans are feeling the same way?

Wait, you’re posting about it but you haven’t/aren’t/don’t even plan on watching the games?

If you need a guest post that bad just say something…

That’s right Bambino…I don’t watch most of the time after the Indians are eliminated. See, I found that if I want to stay married, it is a good idea to ‘pick your battles’ so to speak. Watching the Indians, Cavs, Browns and Buckeyes is one thing, but it’s a whole other thing to watch games that I don’t have a rooting interest in…

Haha that’s cool man. Just giving you a hard time. I’ve been trying to integrate sports into the routine with the GF, and so far it seems to be working out alright. I can usually tell when things are about to go south and hand over the remote. But I don’t go down without a fight. LOL.
    Good luck staying married:)

People are crazy down here for the Rays. It’s kind of weird to be in another city that’s winning and my team sucks.

Another thing about Tampa. The Browns need to make it to the Superbowl so I can see them down here as well. Ah….dreaming…dreaming…dreaming…
