Watching gameday, Lee Corso said that he has never lost his pick when he has put on a Buckeye head. Then proceding to put on a little Brutus with LeBron James by his side, I vaguely remember Corso picking the Buckeyes during last year’s National Championship game. Can anyone confirm this?
Regardless, thought James and Corso chose the Buckeyes, our very own Doug Lesmerises thinks that this one is going the other way. While I have to disagree on some of his reasons, I do agree that special teams can be a big issue. We have talked ad naseum about our lack of an explosive kickoff/punt returner. Penn State has just that. The battle between Derrick Williams and the AJ Trapasso-led punting unit will be huge in this one.

Though we didn’t write much about the Buckeyes this week, I urge you to listen to the main event portion of this week’s podcast where WKNR’s Jordan Sherwood gave us the goods on tonight’s game.
Last I heard, the folks in Columbs were planning on painting the town red tonight. If last night was any indication of the crowds that will be live and in color tonight, we should be in for a decent advantage at home. Let’s just hope that the play on the field capitalizes on their advantage. Comment away, folks. Go Bucks!

Corso if I remember correctly actually said that he’s never lost a pick when he has put on the Brutus head gear *AND* had the Herbstriet kids there with him…
actually, what corso said was he has never lost when he put on the brutus head IN columbus
8 Years of that was with a stellar Jim Tressel career. Corso bragging about this is like Mike Brown bragging about his coaching record with the Cavs. It isn’t about him.
Yea he said in colombus and wit the kids there. It was hysterical when bron picked arizona and corso was like what the hell are you thinking Lmao.
WOW Texas Tech just put a hurtin on Kansas.
Wow, no major upsets so far. At least, if the Bucks win, we will move up from this Texas game.
This is one heck of a defensive struggle so far.
6 mins left in the fourth and penn state has zero penalties… Just food for thought
Well shit.
also, PSU did have the offensive pass interference call in the first half – Musburger is just a no good lying sumabitch.
Oh well, at least it was close.
Where can I get a WFNY tee?
I’m not even mad they lost this game. Lil pryor tried too much and fumbled but its ok. Good game. Not even sad but thats probably cuz basketball season is upon us. Go cavaliers!
the cavs gotta make it happen, with their fast break action.
I find this game to be kind of similar in the way that the game at Penn St in 05 was.
Heisman and Zwick were alternating at QB that year b/c of the suspension and Tressel wasn’t sure about his QB.
—> Pryor took over for Boeckman after Tressel wasn’t sure about his QB.
—-> A fumble by Heisman all but sealed our fate in Happy Valley the night of the white out they put on us with Michael Robinson and Co.
—> Pryor fumbles while we have the lead to give Penn St the chance to go ahead and score the game winning TD starting in our territory.
—> Penn St has a good season behind Robinson and Co. and OSU’s national championship hopes are ruined that year.
—> Penn St will probably win the Big Ten this year, maybe go to the NCS, and ruins OSU’s shot at the Rose Bowl
—> Troy Smith goes on to become Heisman, absolutely owns Michigan, and leas his team to a National Championship Game.
—> Terrelle Pryor….. Well his time is coming….
If penn state goes to the national championship i think ohio state goes to the rose bowl if the win out right? Like how we went to the big game last year and illinois went to the rose bowl? I want penn state to win it now. Big ten gotta get some respect
Oh yea penn state had no penalties. The offensive interference was declined so it doesn’t count as a penalty. Or yea That offensive lineman browning got exposed terribly. Our whole offensive line sucks
