Vinny Del Baio Coaches the Bulls
This may not have much to do with the Cavs, but comic relief is a necessity every now and again. Did anyone catch the game against the Bulls last night? Vinnie Del Negro looks like Scott Baio. He completes the look with feathered hair that he insists on letting grow to the point that it covers the top of his ears a la Scott Baio and Mitch Albom. What, is he allergic to sideburns or something? And what’s with the Miami Vice suit jacket, Vinny?

You know what? The look comparisons don’t stop there. He also kinda looks like either Mitch Albom or Steve Perry from Journey (and BASEketball psych-out) fame.

Try concentrating on the game this Saturday when you aren’t giggling at the Bulls’ coach between camera shots of his exasperated looks.

Steve Perry’s the winner to me.

LOL good catch. I was watching the game last night at work with the sound off, and at one point I thought they were showing highlights from the early 80’s, and then I realized…Wait, that’s the Bulls coach NOW.

That whole team is sporting funny hair….from Gooden to a couple other guys with long feather’d 80’s-tastic hair.

What a stiff…….thank goodness the Bull’s organization remains so screwed up they would hire such an inexperienced piece of fluff.
Come to think of it, Chicago is notorious for giving us inexperienced leaders who lack resume. Barack Obama, Louis Farakhan, Jesse Jackson, et al. Between Barack Hussein Obama and Vinny Del Negro you’ve got about two ounces of real world experience……..but they’re hired.

Look at that Randy! You got the stink of bitterness in my sports blog!
More to point of this post, the use of a BASEketball reference has earned Craig numerous permanent cool points.
Also, I recommend you do some sort of Charles In Charge spoof for your Saturday game summary. That would be excellent.

Preach it brotha Randy, preach it.

Really, we’re gonna do this on a sports blog? A really good one at that?

I think you are missing the most apt comparison and that is to a John Romita Jr. drawing. The guy literally looks like he stepped out of a comic book John Romita Jr. penciled.

yeah seriously, let’s not do that here.

Vinnie Del Negro and Howie Long are both really good at stickin’ to a haircut.
Also, VDN must be a disciple of the Romeo Crennel School of Coaching – stand on the sidelines with a blank look on your face while not actually coaching.

I’m not sure I can watch the game Sat in HD again after last night. D-West and the cornrows? Gooden’s braided beard? Joakim Noah!?! The holy trifecta of ugly.

To quote my buddy Seth – Joakim Noah is not “HD-pretty”

My favorite are the 1980 yearbook hair attributes with the hair covering the top of the ears and then chopping the “sideburns” off way high toward the top of the ear. Anytime I can mix that into a post, I am super happy. I am really happy someone else in the world recognizes the raunchy comedy of BASEketball. Trey Parker and Matt Stone are easily two of this generation’s most brilliant comedic minds.

Bench Duhon had this one a long time ago

Still funny, though.
