Shanahan To Cleveland?
December 30, 2008Is Matt Williams a “Hall of Famer?”
December 31, 2008While We’re Waiting aims to be the round-up of the recent WFNY-esque information for your morning viewing. Have something you think we should see? Send it to our tips email in the sidebar.
“LeBron James had 38 points on his 24th birthday, but collectively it was probably the Cavs’ weakest performance of the season. That’s more of a testament to how well they were playing than an insult. It is no moral sin to lose at AmericanAirlines Arena. After all, the Lakers lost on the same floor last week and the Cavs have won in South Florida once in the last six seasons.” [Brian Windhorst]
Craig recently gave us a recap of Phil Savage’s footsteps in Cleveland. How about the same for his possible successor, Scott Pioli? [No Logo Needed]
FINALLY! Mo Williams All-Star recognition! [SLAMOnline]
“Everybody says [Romeo Crennel] was a great defensive coordinator but I’m convinced that Bill Belichick was the game planner when the Patriots were winning Super Bowls. Remember, when they were pulling guys off the street to play in the secondary and receiver Troy Brown was playing defensive back. They patched up the defense with duct tape and band aids and still won the Super Bowl. I think Romeo was carrying out orders more like a lieutenant as opposed to being the general.” [OBR Blogs]
With the Globetrotters recently hitting up Cleveland on their world tour, And One breaks down the 1950s film Go Man Go. [And One]
And just a question: Why is it that the Jets “need” a marquee name as a coach because they “have PSLs?” Last time I checked, we’ve had PSLs for the last decade. Just saying.

Has anyone else been tenatively worried about the last 3 Cavs games? They seem to have hit a rut. I hope is is just that, a rut, and not them coming back to where they should be.
How does it make you feel that your ******* blog is only thanks to stealing the work of journalists? ******

Brendon, I was worried after the Washington game but everyone told me that a “win was a win.” They need to get their act together here soon. No chance that they’ll get past Boston in the coming weeks at this rate…
Boston isn’t playing any better….
Speaking of just sayin… you have five links. “Any no link for the fifth part” Make-a no sense.
IRB? Added the fifth in after I wrote the last part – it’s been a rough morning. Thanks for the heads up…
Big Z seems to be off his game a bit, and the rest of the team has been missing a lot of open jump shots. Way too many 3 point attempts. The extra pass has been missing in action.
@SteelMagnolia,
Wow. Have you ever actually read any of the original work on this site? It puts the work of most “real” journalists to shame. Your criticism better fits the so called “journalist” Branson Wright’s blog.
@SteelMagnolia –
You really named yourself after a sappy chick flick in the 80’s? And then come on here with no insight or point to your post? You’re just spewing credibility. Here’s a stolen link that maybe you should give a read – http://www.wikihow.com/Act-More-Intelligent
Anyway, I agree with Brendon. These past 3 games have been scary. We were doing so well with passing and guys moving constantly to get open, and now we look desperate. They’re taking bad shots, and even look like they lost a little sense of urgency. I don’t know. I don’t want to read too much into it considering we’ve only lost one of those 3 bad looking games, but there’s reason for a little concern.
SteelMagnolia-
Finding the urge to insult people on internet blogs just shows your insecurities. There’s no doubt that you’re a very, very little man in real life. Get lost.
