Comeback Cavs Continue Setting Records
March 30, 2009Cavaliers Face Tough Decision at Power Forward
March 30, 2009Former Cleveland Browns linebacker Lou Saban passed away early yesterday morning after succumbing to heart problems that had plagued him for the last few years. While Browns fans will have the chance to remember Lou for his play during the Paul Brown days, Saban will have a plethora of fans throughout different sports that will pay their respects to his services.
A linebacker on the field (playing for the Browns between 1946-49), Saban also coached at both the collegaite and professional levels as well as spending a portion of his life as president of the New York Yankees from 1981-82.
Saban had his coaching start in Cleveland with the Case Institute of Technology. Winning AFL Championships and then helping rebuild fledgling college programs. Being a quarterback himself, and then recruiting Jim Kelly to the University of Miami. His overall record as a coach (96-102-7) is not exactly one that will make the record books, but the much-traveled player, coach and mentor will undoubtedly be missed by all of those that were impacted by Coach Lou.

Saban definitely worth the “shun/unshun.”
