Second inning, Tribe plate one. Kinsler hits two-run homer. 7-1, Texas. Pavano’s ERA: 45.00
Jesus Christ
… Actually I don’t think even he could save Pavano in this game
Well this is quite a depressing start to the season.
Action Jackson ready to relieve… here we go (on to Toronto)
Ha. Jackson out of the pen after an inning plus. WONDERFUL.
“I don’t think Peralta even knew where the bag was…”
The Rangers announcers said that Pavano was “touching 90” on his fastball. Um. That is not a good sign.
This is not going well.
Pavano’s final ERA is 81.00? I guess he didn’t want to be out done by Carmona and Lee.
I’m just waiting for someone to say ‘Why is everyone so worried, it’s only game 3…’
If the Yanks win (up 3-2 right now), we’ll be the only winless team in the AL.
Anybody want to buy my share of a season ticket package?
Don’t worry, we have Scott “The Stopper” Lewis going tomorrow and Cliff “I Put in My 1 Good Year to Get Another Contract” Lee on Saturday.
The day just got brighter for Aaron Laffey and even jeremy Sowers
…and anyone that took the over
Hey… ESPN gamecast says we still have a 5% chance to win… WE CAN BUILD ON THIS
Hey, don’t give up yet. Remember, we’re playing the Rangers; anyone can score 6 runs off their bullpen.
Of course, we’re also playing the Rangers. They could score 20 runs of anyone’s bullpen…
Just gotta keep GRINDING…
3 down, 159 to go
It looks like after today, unless the Yankees lose, we’ll share the worst record in baseball with the Nationals!
Yea, its only 3 games, but we got shalacked in all of em.
If Pavano pitches 8 shutout innings in his next start, his era will still be 9.00! LOL!!
DeRosa’s been great so far. Too bad for him we aren’t playing teams from the World Baseball Classic.
0-??? gets Wedge fired?
“0-??? gets Wedge fired?”
Gotta put this one on Shapiro. Rolled the dice instead of spending money.
Wedge ain’t the one out there pitching…
And you all thought I was an idiot with my full-season projections – still goin strong.
you might be low on your “runs allowed” projection, Denny.
7 strikeouts already by Indians hitters…see my post under last night’s game recap. Time to start the annual “Fire Derek Shelton” chants!
Think TD can get an Indians moratorium started?
The Zach Attack!!! Lone bright spot….
Since when does the GM fire himself?
TD – was just about to say the same thing. Five Ks, two hits in 3+ innings.
omar vizquel knocks an 81mph fastball to center to make it a 10-3 game
…oy
we can go 80-1 at home, and we’ll be fine.
oh wait, we’re talkin about the tribe.
Less than 80 innings. Didn’t I just say this a couple of times now?
hey, do you care about winning the game, or do you want to see the tribe hit some dingers!?!
Maybe Reyes will provide us with some hope, and who knows what we get from Scott Lewis. Anyone think our rotation after the break will be #1: Fausto, #2: Reyes, #3: Laffey, #4: Sowers, #5: Huff with a sprinkle of Rondon and maybe Jackson.
Maybe DeRosa can strike out some more? Haf should eat more meat and get bigger like he was when he juic… I mean before his shoulder hurt.
We’re a disaster.
This team depresses me. I wish I could just ignore them until the Cavs season ends, but alas, I’m a Cleveland fan.
Indians are the new Royals of the past years! Yesssssssssssssssssssss
Maybe the Rangers are going to go 162-0, and we are just their first victims!
OK, maybe not. Why is it that it seems like any year we expect the Tribe to be really good we get this, but when we don’t expect much the come oh so close. Realistically I am not giving up after one series and won’t even if two or three more go bad. Do I expect CL to win the Cy Young again this year? No, but I didn’t at the start. Do I expect any of our first three pitchers to pitch this bad, no but I didn’t at the start. Tribe will get things going and will make a run. Money is still going to need to be spent to win, but we will be competitive I believe.
Hey, if you can remember the Tribe started 0-3 in 1996 and went on to win 96 or 99 games that year, you gotta have faith. On Opening Day maybe Wedge did make a mistake by leaving Lee in after he got hit in his left forearm(I would have taken him out) and maybe Pavano might be better suited as a softball pitcher but it’s early and the Tribe does have POWER. GOOD LUCK on Friday !!!! GO TRIBE!!!
