I am excited for the NBA to start again 🙂
I am extremely ready for Cavs basketball!
For the Atlantic Division, I think I like the Nets to win it. I know the Knicks have been their big brother for a long time, and that the Nets are playing a lot of old dudes, but I think they have too much talent from top to bottom. I don’t see any other teams as having a chance at the playoffs besides those two. I think the Raptors are a team that are being picked to make a bit of a jump this year, but my guess is that they continue to underwhelm. The 76ers will be terri-bad and their front office will love it. To Bill Simmons’ dismay, the Celtics will only be a shade better.
The Pacific division has got some serious talent. I like the Clips to win it with the Warriors giving them some competition, but not quite getting the top spot. I think the Kings will end up finishing 3rd in the division with the Lakers and Suns bringing up the rear. I do anticipate that Pau is going to benefit greatly from Dwight Howard leaving for Houston, but I also anticipate him being injured for a pretty long spell.
My picks for the Atlantic Division comes down to the Nets and Knicks; Knicks if it comes down to the last game for seeding as the Nets begin and end their season at the Q.
Atlantic Division – I think that the Nets are a stronger regular season team…but I am not sold on them as a legit championship contender (they have a lot of guys who’s “Names” are bigger than their “games”)
I’m never sold on the Knicks as a legit contender. Anyteam that “stars” Melo and STAT is a team that has way too many defensive deficincies to actually win 16 playoff games.
For the Pacific Division, it almost has to be the Clippers by default. The Lakers are almost certainly going to regress further this year. The Warriors are likely to take a step back (they lost key depth). The Kings are the Kings (until they prove otherwise.) And the Suns…yeesh. That’s an ugly division. LOL
