Buckeyes Start Fast, Hold On Late To Beat Arkansas

That’s the way the ball bounces.

For the Buckeyes, it bounced in their favor a couple times in Tuesday night’s Allstate Sugar Bowl. Dane Sanzenbacher’s fumble recovery in the end zone was  merely a glimpse of what was to come. There were bounces, and calls that went against Ohio State as well, so don’t let anyone tell you this was a lucky win.

It was a hard fought win. It was a resilient win. [Read more...]

Ohio State Once Again Playing For More Than Just a Simple Bowl Win

As we approach tonight’s Sugar Bowl battle between the Ohio State Buckeyes and the Arkansas Razorbacks, we find the Buckeyes in familiar territory. Once again Ohio State is fighting more than just their opponent on the field. They’re fighting against fans who feel that the players involved in sold merchandise scandal shouldn’t be allowed to play. They’re fighting for respect for the Big Ten after the humiliation the conference suffered on New Years Day. They’re fighting to get the SEC monkey off their back. Above all else, they’re fighting to make a statement.

Whether it’s fair or not, the majority of all of this scrutiny and pressure falls pretty squarely on the coaching mind of Jim Tressel and on the legs and arm of quarterback Terrelle Pryor. Great Peyton Hillis Highlight Video

There are a lot of garbage highlight videos on Youtube. This is not one of those. This video is very well done.

Then I read the first comment on the video that speculates (in completely unsubstantiated fashion I must add) that Peyton Hillis “accidentally hit on McDaniels wife at some function.”  I don’t believe that rumor, but it made me laugh. I am sure Denver fans are scratching, scraping and even making up stories to try to explain why McDaniels would part with Peyton Hillis.

Plus, we know this story isn’t true because if Peyton Hillis had hit on McDaniels’ wife, wouldn’t she now be Hillis’ girlfriend?

Just jokes people. Enjoy the video.
