Big Ten awards: “Evan Turner did not win the Big Ten Player of the Year, losing out to Michigan State’s Kalin Lucas in both the coach and media voting. Turner was named first-team All-Big Ten by both the coaches and media and was the only player to be a unanimous first-team selection by both groups.  Asked on the Big Ten Network which other player in the Big Ten he would have chosen as player of the year, Lucas chose Turner.” [Doug Lesmerises/Plain Dealer]
