NFL News: Browns interview former Cards head coach Whisenhunt

Leaving no coaching stone unturned, the Cleveland Browns are said to have interviewed former Arizona Cardinals head coach Ken Whisenhunt.

With Jimmy Haslam III and Joe Banner staking out in Arizona, the Browns’ majority owner and CEO are apparently speaking to every individual in whom they might have the slightest bit of interest. Whisenhunt, who was fired Monday by the Cardinals, also has interviewed with the Buffalo Bills. He was one of the longest-tenured head coaches in the NFL prior to his firing, leading the Cardinals to their first Super Bowl appearance in franchise history during the 2008 season.

The Browns are said to be interviewing Oregon’s Chip Kelly later this week while reportedly maintaining interest in Penn State’s Bill O’Brien, Arizona defensive coordinator Ray Horton, and Syracuse’s Doug Marrone.
