Somewhere between the beginning of this NBA season and the exit for the Cavaliers at the hands of the Boston Celtics, the Cavaliers’ star LeBron James got linked to the Chicago Bulls. The Bulls are positioned financially to give LeBron a contract with their approximate returning salaries totaling just under $32 million. That money is spread across six players, Luol Deng, Kirk Hinrich, Derrick Rose, Joakim Noah, James Johnson, and Taj Gibson. Add LeBron James to that core of players and it is pretty easy to understand why Chicago became the destination du jour for all the desperate scribes across the NBA landscape. Is it that simple though? The Bulls seem positioned slightly better than the Cavs right now because of Derrick Rose and Joakim Noah, but are two players and cap space enough knowledge of a franchise for LeBron to make that decision?
