Aaron Laffey to Replace Scott Lewis
With Scott Lewis hitting the DL after his first start of the season, the guy with whom he was competing for the fifth-starter role Aaron Laffey will reportedly get the call up from Triple-A Columbus.
The left-hander is fresh off of a relatively terrible outing that currently has him sporting a record of 0-1 and an ERA of 13.50. Makes you feel really good, doesn’t it?
Fear not though, as Laffey looked good in his early starts last season, and just started to have a rough patch before being shut down with a sore arm. He’ll suit up tomorrow against the Royals, a team that he held to four hits and one earned run in seven innings last year. Plus, his 13.50 is one-sixth of Carl Pavano’s current ERA! Silver linings, folks.

I know how people LOVE posts about the Browns in other teams posts, but the ‘09 schedule is out with 2 primetime home games. First 4 of 6 on the road though…ouch.

This seems as good a place as any to post it, since there wasn’t a Browns post in the afternoon, or today or anything like that.

At least Pavano was serviceable tonight though…

So Barkley said that Mike Brown is the coach of the year. Interested to hear how some around here (including commenters) will spin this into a “Barkley harbors obvious agenda against Cavs” five-page thread.
