One Heck Of A Middle Name

Bronson SardinhaIn what will likely be lost in the shuffle of Ben Francisco and Jason Michaels, the Tribe has signed a fellow by the name of Bronson Sardinha to a minor league contract, where he will report to Triple-A Buffalo.

In what will likely be lost in the shuffle of Bronson Sardinha is his own middle name.

Full Name: Bronson Kiheimahanaomauiakeo Sardinha

Anyone want to attempt at pronouncing this one?  Are any of you guys Polynesian?

Sardinha is a former first-round selection from the Yankees, and can reportedly play first base, third base and outfield.  He’s among a family of baseball players, with two brothers also affiliated with MLB teams.  I doubt that this signing will have any immediate impact aside from filling the spot vacated by Ben Francisco.  However, even if it is for that middle name, he could be one to watch.

    Ke-hey-ee-ma-ha-na-o-maui-a-kay-o

It translates to something about being a protector of Maui, where his family is from.
