All I Need To Know I Learned From The Boston Celtics
So let’s review…
According to the Celtics-

This is disrespectful.
This is being a good teammate.

This is not a cheap shot.

This is a good play.
Everyone got that? There will be a test.
April 29, 2009 By: Rick Category: Cleveland Cavaliers, General
Cleveland fans have been waiting since 1964 for the Browns to win a title. Fans have waited since 1948 for the Indians to win a World Series. Fans have never witnessed a Cavaliers Championship. They have come close, but every year they are forced to wait. And wait they will. Because Cleveland sports is a tradition; a rite of passage for millions in Northern Ohio. This site is the result of three such fans, who wanted to share their opinions, frustrations and hopefully victories with you.

that garnett pic just perfectly sums up what a punk he is.
April 29th, 2009 at 5:16 pm
Love it. And they have the nerve to complain about us dancing to such a catchy song. Maybe there should be a picture of Big Baby Davis crying at the end of the bench after KG yelled at him. That was priceless.
April 29th, 2009 at 5:20 pm
Lol
April 29th, 2009 at 5:39 pm
Seriously please let them win and make it to the Eastern Confernce Finals so I can see the look on their faces when the Cavs stomp them.
April 29th, 2009 at 5:47 pm
Priceless, Rick.
Am I the only one that would love to see Ben Gordon uppercut garnett in that pick.
April 29th, 2009 at 5:48 pm
Well done, sir! Home run!
April 29th, 2009 at 5:49 pm
They didn’t even upgrade Rondo to Flagrant … NBA looks ridiculous with that decision
April 29th, 2009 at 6:08 pm
Cleveland will not win it this year and Lebron will
sign elsewhere when his contract is up.
You are losers and should accept your lot in life .
Cleveland Rocks …. LOL !!
April 29th, 2009 at 6:11 pm
you dont have the picture of Rondo running over and trying to get a look at the play that the bulls drew up. classy
April 29th, 2009 at 6:48 pm
@ Tampa – Amen brother!
April 29th, 2009 at 6:50 pm
Someone needs to take that Miller-Rondo foul and turn it into one of those “Where amazing happens” black and white NBA videos.
Losing a tooth on a non-flagrant foul? Its amazing.
April 29th, 2009 at 7:11 pm
>>Am I the only one that would love to see Ben Gordon uppercut garnett in that pick.<<
I think I’d prefer a leg sweep… on his bad knee. (Is one worse than the other?)
You know who else thinks the Cavs celebrate too much? M.L. Carr. Douchetards.
April 29th, 2009 at 7:19 pm
Here’s the recipe, I wrote it down as not to confuse you people.
1. You love you team XXXX.
2. Team XXXX can do no wrong. They can dance, yell, swear, rape and pillage, cause they’re on Team XXXXX.
3. When Team XXXXX wins, then people will create websites criticizing them.
The shame is that we no longer teach people how to win/loose with class.
Kevin Garnett is a fool for swearing on the court.
Ray Allen is a classless for elbowing someone in the nuts.
LeBron James is classless when he dances on the court.
Browns fans are classless when the Dog Pound throws things on the field.
Growing up it was Yankee fans, they were the worst, now it’s the people from Boston, and next year, maybe it’ll be the Cleveland people.
The thing is, it’s the minority that can’t win/lose with class that ruin all of this thing that we call sports.
That’s the recipe.
PS — Can’t wait to see LeBron in Knicks Uniform.
April 29th, 2009 at 7:22 pm
Ahhhh….always love it when we get a few national links and the comments get interesting. Go ahead and state your opinion, but read the before you comment tab first please.
April 29th, 2009 at 7:30 pm
Sorry about the insulting name Rick.
Keep up the good work.
April 29th, 2009 at 7:32 pm
What’s this “Lebron is leaving” stuff you are speaking of? This is the first I am hearing of this…. That doesn’t sound good for the Cavs.
April 29th, 2009 at 7:35 pm
Rick — just read the “Comments” section and am not sure if you were speaking to me?
I don’t swear or post pictures in my free time — so I’m guessing I’m not the one.
Although I do enjoy your comment area — that’s really what all sites should do.
Good job.
April 29th, 2009 at 8:00 pm
I would love to see Garnett pull something like that on Ben Wallace in a few rounds……I’m pretty sure he wouldn’t. He’s Mr. tough guy when he knows no one is going to do something about it but I’ve never seen him get in Shaq’s face during a game…..I used to like KG when he first came into the league, but in the last few years (…maybe something to do with him being on our rivals…but not everything) I’ve soured considerably. No one can question his work ethic or passion for the game but really?!?!? Don’t talk trash unless you can back it up, and last time I checked his stat sheet is all zeros this round against the bulls.
April 29th, 2009 at 8:03 pm
Like Ben Gordon hasn’t been egging the Celts on with his crotch grabbing and ‘bullseye’ hand gesture clownery. You really think KG would ride Gordon for no reason? Gordon’s a punk from Mount Vernon who thinks he’s a tough guy, so spare me the sympathy for him getting yelled at.
April 29th, 2009 at 8:06 pm
KG likes to pick on guys much smaller than him like Ben Gordon and Jose Calderon. Perhaps he is overcompensating for something?
April 29th, 2009 at 8:35 pm
@ East Coast- I wasn’t pointing out anyone actually, just making sure that if someone is new to the site they will understand our policy. We’ve had people leave obscene comments and then go rip us on other sites because their comment was deleted. They would of course say that it was because we disagreed with their opinion, when in fact it was because they never bothered to read our comment policy. We try to be a site that anyone can come and get their Cleveland sports fix. It is who we are.
April 29th, 2009 at 9:06 pm
Kevin Garnett is intense.
Ray Allen was disrespected.
That was the best foul of Rondo’s career.
Got it? Good.
April 29th, 2009 at 9:56 pm
Love it. KG will probably commit murder when he has to retire. All that balled up intensity will not be used productively.
April 29th, 2009 at 10:40 pm
That is fantastic guys…and the fact that Celts fans are coming on the site to make pithy comments makes it all the better
I would love to see KG yell like that at LeBron when he buries multiple threes in front of the Celtic’s bench….though I am not sure the Celtic’s will make it far enough for us to find out.
Go Cavs!
April 29th, 2009 at 11:03 pm
Thank you.
Thank you for laying it out.
Thank you for showing they are dirty.
Thank you for making my pounding my fist into my table last night worth it and not without reason.
And to whomever said “bring them on in the Eastern Conference Finals so I can see their faces” I agree.
I am looking forward to this.
Go CAVS.
April 29th, 2009 at 11:04 pm
greatest… article… ever
April 29th, 2009 at 11:32 pm
that is a great article…it just shows how the Celtics act like there tough when there actually a bunch of dirty players who are all hypocrites when there not on the winning side of things. Doc Rivers isnt even a good coach either
P.S. – Paul Peirce might spit on Lebron again if we play em in the playoffs like he did a few years back in preseason. And to EAST COAST- bron bron is not going anywhere buddy
April 30th, 2009 at 12:05 am
so true
April 30th, 2009 at 1:11 am
>>I used to like KG when he first came into the league, but in the last few years<<
I couldn’t agree more. I was a huge KG fan when he was with the Wolves. Maybe I just felt bad that he was such a great player on such a bad team that could never win, but it seems like as soon as he got on a winning team he’s got to be a total prick. What’s with those dumb “hard” looks he gives at the Bulls when someone on his team does something good? C’mon, give me a break.
April 30th, 2009 at 8:10 am
And according to Rick…
Whaaaaaaaaa!!!!!
April 30th, 2009 at 8:23 am
Should have busted out ye ole comic book format.
April 30th, 2009 at 8:44 am
i love how anti cavs fans only line is that we will somehow lose lebron in 2010… serisouly you dont think we’ve heard that before?!
get somthin original.
i am fired up bring on round 2 already!!!!
April 30th, 2009 at 8:58 am
This is great. Watching the Indians game last night with a park half full of Red Sox bandwagoneers fans, I’d love to see how many show up in a few weeks if the Celts make it to the E.C. finals.
April 30th, 2009 at 9:27 am
hey celtics fans, at least youve got stephon marbury.
April 30th, 2009 at 9:33 am
and @The East Coast
“Growing up it was Yankee fans, they were the worst, now it’s the people from Boston, and next year, maybe it’ll be the Cleveland people.”
when did it ever stop being yankees fans? and next year, if it is cleveland people, then god bless it. we’ve been waiting for almost 50 years.
April 30th, 2009 at 10:28 am
I’d love to see the Celtics in the Conference Finals, just so the all of teh Cavs can dance to Rick Astley as the Celtics walk (KG hobbles) off the court after we sweep them, maybe we can call it The Boston Masacre Pt.II
Problem is, it’s not going to happen because the Celtics are struggling to beat the Bulls, so even if they win this series they won’t make it past the 2nd Rd. The thing is that WHEN they lose, Boston fans are going to make so many excuses on why they lost and ignore the fact that they’re not as good as the Cavs. Look forward to that.
April 30th, 2009 at 12:13 pm
Lol @ Oppie…
If the Cavs were to sweep the Celts, the fourth game would be played in Boston, where I can assure you Rick Astley has never been played
Hey Oppie, do you have an extra chromosome bro?
April 30th, 2009 at 12:16 pm
I think the video of KG clearly yelling “M Fer’s” toward the bench of the Bulls while his team is off to the left is priceless and passing him by. But I guess he is passionant and swearing and yelling AT the other team after your boys just won a thriller is ok. Whatever. No room to talk and complain C’s fans.
April 30th, 2009 at 12:19 pm
BuckFu, Gloria might take care of KG if he did it to LBJ!
April 30th, 2009 at 12:29 pm
I wish I could see the actual article, but it appears that my seventeen rings have caused a blinding glare on my computer screen! You Cleveland guys are so lucky; sometimes I wish my fingers were bare–it would make everything so much more convenient!
April 30th, 2009 at 1:22 pm
oh no you didn’t!
/weak
April 30th, 2009 at 1:23 pm
Boston fans, does the 17 rings arguement work when comparing the Yankess and Bosox? Or do you then go to the “we’re better now” card?
April 30th, 2009 at 1:37 pm
Oh yeah, I forgot Boston fans are special, they play Neil Diamond and Dropkick Murphys, now that’s original. You should have your fan favorite Scalobrine just rap again, that made you guys look real smart.
We get it, the Celtics have 17 rings, congrats. Let’s dwell on past history, when we’re in present day, where the Celtics will be lucky to meet the Cavs in Conference finals and everyone knows it. My favorite thing is the Boston Celtics fans who were non-existent up until last year (i.e. the ones on a Cleveland fan site). Have fun sitting at home, dwelling on the past while we’re in the NBA Finals.
April 30th, 2009 at 1:48 pm
I wasn’t alive for 16 of those rings, so really your argument bears no meaning to me. ERRONEOUS ON ALL ACCOUNTS. It’s like me saying the Browns have a ton of championships before there was a SB, even though I wasn’t alive for another 20 years…. S***s Weak
April 30th, 2009 at 1:52 pm
“Boston fans, does the 17 rings arguement work when comparing the Yankess and Bosox? Or do you then go to the “we’re better now” card?”
Brilliant. Just a brilliant retort. Celtics fans are so unoriginal they can’t even come up with their own insults, they have to just recycle the exact same insults they receive from their rivals in a different sport. Priceless.
April 30th, 2009 at 2:10 pm
No, it’s like saying most Celtics “fans” were no where to be found for the past 15 years, when the Celtics were irrelevant and awful. No one really cared about the Celtics the a number of years before KG and Ray Allen showed up and then all of a sudden there are all of these “Die Hard” Celtics fans. You can have a fond respect for a team’s history, but when you try to bring the past into a present argument, that’s when you lose credibility.
We’ll just let things play out and hope we can meet up in the Finals and so we can stop talking and enjoy some basketball. Then we can start the real arguments about who’s better.
Good luck tonight.
April 30th, 2009 at 4:40 pm
17 rings… right… so what does that have to do with the Celtics being hypocritical jerks right now?
April 30th, 2009 at 5:25 pm
KG can’t help it. He’s only got one facial expression:

KG can’t help it. He’s only got one facial expression (link above).
April 30th, 2009 at 5:54 pm
perfect
April 30th, 2009 at 6:58 pm
Haha, love it!!!
April 30th, 2009 at 7:05 pm
Think the refs are on edge tonight for this game? lol
May 2nd, 2009 at 12:30 pm
Boston vs Cleveland:
Celtics vs Cavs, Cavs may actually have a chance of winning their FIRST championship this year; but they haven’t done it yet.
Red Sox vs Indians, Some good rivalries recently, but it’s been a while since the Indians have been champs.
Patriots vs Browns, HA,HA,HA,HA HA. Go Bellichek.
Bruins vs ?????, Oh that’s right, Cleveland doesn’t have a NHL team. Right Jim!!!
May 6th, 2009 at 11:54 am
The Other Tim is a “Douchetard” with or without Garnett, the Celtics love to school your team, so what?
May 8th, 2009 at 8:43 am
Celtics fans are realistic. We’ll admit that without KG on the court, the cavs are probably better.
May 8th, 2009 at 10:34 pm
Tom,no offense but the Cavs are just as good,if not better, than the Celtics even with Garnett.would’ve been great to find out,but I guess we’ll never know now
May 12th, 2009 at 12:43 pm
From Chicago but went to college and graduate school in Boston. Went to every single Bulls/Celtics game played in Boston from 2004-2007. I had never seen a more emptier stadium than the Garden. Then they get Ray Allen and KG and all of a sudden, Celtics fans come out in full force with their green shirts saying “I’m a die-hard Celtic fan!” A die-hard fan is one who supports his team when they are awful, like I did when the Bulls stunk it up in the late 90s/early 2000s. You Celtics fans are a shame to the game of basketball. Once KG, Pierce and Allen all leave, lets see you show your support. Please, without looking it up, tell me the starting line up of the Boston Celtics 2001 team. Yea, that’s what I thought. Stick to the Red Sox and leave basketball to real fans.
