Indians vs. Cubs Open Thread
June 19, 2009While We’re Waiting – Daequan’s donation, The only logical conclusion, Maurice wants out, and Lather, rinse, repeat
June 20, 2009It was a slow week for actual Cleveland sports, but rumors and news were fast and furious at times.
Browns Stories
We helped clear up some confusion in the MSM about Braylon Edwards’ “undisclosed” injury.
We followed the saga of Donte’ Stallworth from news of his plea deal, to his suspension by Roger Goodell, his less than desirable choice of training partners and finally an editorial from Craig.
Then there were the Brandon Marshall rumors that made us ponder Josh Cribbs’ value to the team.
Don’t forget Hadnot’s punt return!
Indians Stories
It was a long week for the Wahoos. It started well, with Cliff Lee’s dominating performance over the Cardinals, but then came the Brewers and three, straight, losses.
DP gave us our weekly Clipper Report.
Scott discussed Bryce Harper, the high schooler leaving school early to pursue a MLB career.
A new shirt provoked some old memories.
Cavalier Stories
Denny attended the American premeire of More Than A Game, the documentary about LeBron James and his friends growing up in Akron, Ohio. You need to read all of his pieces including the film review, the interview with director Kris Belman, and finally the coverage of the Q&A at the after event. Well done sir.
The rumor mill was churning away, including names like Shaq and Josh Smith.
We poked fun at Kobe and TMZ, and Rock gave us a draft review of what might have been.
Misc.
Mason and Nash won awards.
We ended the week with a silly debate about summer sports.
Have a great weekend!

I may not always agree with everything that is said on here, but I do respect the fact that the contributors to this site, whether it be the owners of the site, or from others posting as I am, have an insatiable love for Cleveland sports, and have a great knowledge of what the “everyday Joe” has to say and think about the climate of sports in Cleveland…
kudos to all…
Needs more Joe the Plumber!
Scott the blogger?
As if the week wasn’t already depressing enough, throw in the news about Bernie Kosar filing for bankruptcy.
Not a great week for Cleveland sports, but I wanted to say how much I enjoy reading this site.. No matter how many sad Indians stories I have to read.. Keep up the great work!
aww, bernie! say it ain’t so!
I personally loved the Cavs coverage you guys did the whole season. Even now with no basketball for months I still look for Cavs talk. I mean we have nothing else to look forward to. We just have to keep grinding!
