Be festive and safe on this Fourth of July as Everyone here at WFNY hopes you have a great holiday weekend and will be cheering on our teams as usual. The Indians look for a series victory tonight against Oakland, while the Clippers hope to stop their recent slide against in-state rival Toledo. Not too much else going on in the sports world, but if anything pops up on the free agency market feel free to leave your thoughts here in the comments.

4:00 p.m. Rugby World Cup Qualifying – Canada vs. United States in Charleston, SC
7:00 p.m. Major League Soccer – DC United at Columbus Crew 
7:00 p.m. Minor League Baseball – Columbus Clippers at Toledo Mud Hens
7:05 p.m. Major League Baseball – Oakland Athletics at Cleveland Indians

    That rugby game was pretty amusing for the first quarter there.. Too bad I still have no idea how the rules work at all

    I was at the Crew game. Interesting weather but the game was fun. It’s nice to see a crowd actually be into a game, even if they end up tying.

    Ha yeah I wondered if anyone would catch the fact that I included the Crew game there. The only MLS team to have their own stadium, they must have some fans out there somewhere.
