Stallworth and Edwards Together on Night Before Fatal Accident

Though the accident that left one Mario Reyes dead occurred nearly four months ago, more details continue to unfold.
Per the Associated Press, Donte Stallworth was with teammate Braylon Edwards the day and evening before Stallworth’s accident that killed a pedestrian on a Miami, Florida causeway.
While the latest set of details lists the amount of money that was spent by each player (over $3,000 for Edwards, approximately $500 for Stallworth), I think the most important part is the fact that Edwards actually had a room at the hotel where the two players had been drinking.
“We’re friends. If he were anything outside himself, I would have told him to stay here. He looked OK. He looked fine.”
Hindsight is always 20/20, but things could have been very different had either player decided that they should both stay in Edwards’ room. Instead of being suspended indefinitely, Stallworth could actually be attempting to bounce back from what is widely considered to be a sub-par 2008 season.

the accident took place in the morning, even if he had stayed in the hotel with edwards…he probably would have woken up and drove around the same time.

Non-story to me….He is a grown man. Braylon spent more, drank more, and likely was in no condition to give any type of sobriety test. Stallworth is a grown man and now must live with it like any of us would. Well, he has the money to pay the settlement unlike us, but still….
I also agree with Prince, if he was going to drive at 7 AM, he’d have done it anyhow…unless that is when he left the hotel.
