Report: Eric Wright’s Car Flipped Last Night
WMMS/100.7 FM (your flagship station!) reports that Browns cornerback Eric Wright flipped his Mercedes-Benz three times on 77-S/I-490 at approximately 2:10 AM this morning. Wright had attended the Jay-Z concert held in Cleveland and was reportedly heading home following an afterparty.
Police report states that Wright was driving too fast for conditions, but was not cited. Wright reportedly was treated and released from the hospital hours later.
Nineteen Action News states that alcohol is currently not even mentioned in the report. Luckily, the report states that no one was injured in the accident. We will surely have more as this develops.

This season gets better and better…
October 23rd, 2009 at 8:34 am
Sigh…..
Im glad he’s ok and nobody else is hurt. Are we gonna have a team on Sunday?
October 23rd, 2009 at 8:39 am
What’s the Mangina fine for this infraction?
October 23rd, 2009 at 8:42 am
On a side note-saw part of a JZ “unplugged” concert on cable this past weekend, thought I’d see what the commotion was all about…………..how does such a talentless phugly street promoting pile of junk garner so much attention, let alone be classified by some as a musical talent?
October 23rd, 2009 at 8:42 am
How crazy would it be if this team found a way to stay out of the news for just one day?
October 23rd, 2009 at 8:47 am
He wasn’t cited? How do you roll your car on the highway and not get cited unless you hit a wild animal or something?
October 23rd, 2009 at 8:49 am
@6 – I almost spit out a cup of coffee in the thought of EW hitting a wild boar on 490.
October 23rd, 2009 at 8:51 am
At least I’m now convinced that Isis is just an internet troll. How come WFNY disabled the “Hide” function. Can we turn that back on?
October 23rd, 2009 at 8:59 am
@Isis:
no clue, but i’ve been wondering the same thing for years.
October 23rd, 2009 at 9:03 am
ESPN is not reporting this story so I refuse to believe it is true since they are the #1 source for all information in the world.
/sarcasm
(On a serious note hope Wright is ok but as Jon said how in the world do you not get cited?)
October 23rd, 2009 at 9:03 am
im totally not suprised that isis hates jay-z
seriously i’ll contribute to this site if I can ignore isis’s posts
October 23rd, 2009 at 9:12 am
IF CREATIVE PROMISES TO CONTRIBUTE MORE IF ISIS IS BANNED THEN BY GOD, PLEASE DO IT BECAUSE OBVIOUSLY HES IS MORE KNOWLEDGEABLE THEN YOU, ME AND ISIS PUT TOGETHER.
October 23rd, 2009 at 9:13 am
Isis, this makes me laugh. You and I are such complete opposites. Jay-Z unplugged is probably the only reason I am a fan. After seeing him rock out with The Roots band on that special, I started to appreciate him.
October 23rd, 2009 at 9:20 am
Agreed. Aside from Memphis Bleek for a few songs, he was on stage by himself all night with a 10-piece band behind him. A trio of horns, two drummers… It was pretty sick.

What I want to know…
HOW DO I GET THESE DAMN KIDS OFF MY LAWN?!?!
October 23rd, 2009 at 9:26 am
@7
I was about to ask how a wild boar would get on the freeway, but then I realized it was probably being chased by Kaluka Maiava.
October 23rd, 2009 at 9:28 am
@6 I’ve been in situations where “..too fast for conditions…” was referenced in a car accident and my insurance company explained that it means the driver was not speeding (over the legal limit) but that “conditions” cause for the adverse effects on driving. So, technically no laws are broke and no one is cited. My insurance company then attempted to tell me that it means I’m as responsible for the accident as the person who was “…to fast for conditions…” even though I was completely sitting still in my vehicle. My bank account was thoroughly PO’d!
October 23rd, 2009 at 9:28 am
Eric Wright has learned well from Lance Briggs school of car crashing.
October 23rd, 2009 at 9:32 am
Not cited? Really?! Must be nice. I rolled my truck and hit a tree going into work on a Sunday, driving on ice and slush covered roads. No one else was involved and I was cited for failure to control. Glad he’s ok, but that’s some BS!
October 23rd, 2009 at 9:33 am
Isis hates black people
sincerely,
Kanye West
October 23rd, 2009 at 9:43 am
@17 – While I understand that to a point, I typically don’t here of a no citation unless there’s some sort of snow emergency level, which is what I think @19 is referring to.
I dunno. I realize we don’t have all the details here in this post, so I guess if I want to speculate further, I’ll need to do research. There’s only so much one is at liberty to say without having all the facts.
October 23rd, 2009 at 9:44 am
Crap. “here” should be “hear”
Here’s to proofreading.
October 23rd, 2009 at 9:57 am
@Jethro,
Ima let you finish in a minute because I like what you’re doing, I just wanted to say that Rush Limbaugh is the best bigot ever
/Kanyed

Less music talk, more traffic law talk please.
October 23rd, 2009 at 10:13 am
@21 Trust me. My insurance rating, my bank account, my previous vehicle, my frustration level with the officer who wouldn’t cite the jaggoff who didn’t understand how hydroplaning works, and my sanity level after trying to explain the difference between culpability and liability agree with you 100%.
Am I still bitter about it?
October 23rd, 2009 at 10:14 am
Don’t make me go all Donte Stallworth on you and talk about Contributory Negligence again…
October 23rd, 2009 at 10:24 am
JK,
by “contribute” i meant “actually give money to the site”
I know I don’t contribute any real content, silly billy.
October 23rd, 2009 at 10:37 am
If you’re gonna talk about contributory negligence, wouldn’t that be going all Braylon on him? “Take this shot!” “I gotta drive.” “Not for another 4 hours you don’t!”
October 23rd, 2009 at 10:59 am
Hmmm, I like this idea. We should raise a fund. If people collectively donate $50,000 to the site, we will ban Isis. I SWEAR!!!
October 23rd, 2009 at 11:13 am
By the moon, and the stars, and the sky?

Rock- Hmmm, I like this idea. We should raise a fund. If people collectively donate $50,000 to the site, we will ban Isis. I SWEAR!!!
Rick- What if we don’t live that long?
Both- $10,000 it is!

As a person who was there last night, spent $86 on a ticket, and drove 2 hours home from school to be there. IT WAS WORTH EVERY PENNY. Talentless? Lol, ya he’s only made over $450M because he’s talentless, he only goes into the studio and doesn’t write ANYTHING down on paper because he’s talentless. All those songs that just come from his thoughts have contributed to 11 (ELEVEN) #1 platinum selling CD’s, surpassing the great Elvis and only behind the Beatles. But, Isis thinks he’s talentless, so it must be true.
October 23rd, 2009 at 3:48 pm
Why was he not cited. “Too fast for the conditions” would be a ticket for you or me.
