While We’re Waiting: Antonio Daniels, God, Emperor Stern, and Traveling

Is God A Browns FanWhile We’re Waiting is a happy place – one where we round up awesome internet links and share them with you all.  If WWW was music, it would certainly be in a happy major key.  It wouldn’t be sad minor key crap.  Maybe it would throw in a few sevens and nines, just to keep it funky.  Regardless, it’s a jam.  If you’ve got something you want to share with us, spread the love and jam with us by emailing our tips line.

Now if only if Moses was the Browns’ QB, maybe we could part opposing defenses (get it – the Red Sea!! Hahaha! Sorry – bad schtick). God is a Browns fan. [V Geezy - '64 and Counting]

Windhorst weighs in on the Antonio Daniels waiver – “Because he took a buyout, it would seem Daniels would be looking for a guaranteed $1.3 million veteran’s minimum contract. The Cavs, however, may be looking to keep roster flexibility by not offering a fully guaranteed deal. Then there would have to be an agreement on a role. It is possible if everyone is healthy that Daniels wouldn’t be in the team’s rotation as the roster is currently set up.” [Brian Windhorst - PD]

Needs. More. LeBron?? “While we don’t know if this is the game that gets Bob Griese suspended or worse, we do know that when Terrelle Pryor’s mind is into the game and he’s leading the team and dictating events, this can be good offense. Hope he finds time to talk to LeBron some more this week.”  [Jason - 11 Warriors]

Emperor Stern declares his desire for LeBron to stay in Cleveland, according to an unlinked and uncontext’d quote. [RealGM]

Apparently, the NBA traveling crab dribble MVP favoritism fixation Tim Donaghy rule has not been changed in effect, only in wording. [Henry Abbott - True Hoop]

Just wanted to point out that during the Florida/Mississippi State game, they kept referring to the game as a ‘grinder’.  Ugly Big Ten football would be called as such.  Among yesterday’s grinders – Iowa/Sparty, Florida/MSU, and Bama/Rocky Top. Speaking of Grinders… [Vince G again]

(I originally put this up at the end of the Rob Ryan post but wanted to make sure my fellow Browns fans saw it. Sorry about the repost, but this is some good stuff.)

Just wanted to drop this here on the morning of the Browns game. It is a YouTube channel that has 300+ vids of Browns games from 1979 through 1994.

You know, when they were good.

The games are not in their entirety, but they are some great moments. I am currently watching the Browns/Cowboys from 1979 when Sipe & Co. score 20 points before Dallas could even blink.

If you guys have seen this stuff before, I apologise. Otherwise, maybe give him some viewing love.

I put this in the other post also, but make sure to check the earliest highlights. Hidden in the list are 1965 and especially 64. Watching highlights from the Browns spanking and shutting out the Colts in the championship.

I think Bama/Tenn qualifies as worse than a grinder. Trusting the game-winner to a kicker who at that point was 1/3? Who only made a 20-something yarder and had already been blocked? That’s some quality coaching there.

Also, for other OSU fans, I hope others caught the Michigan game where they referred to Forcier as the best QB in the Big Ten and then promptly witnessed Daryll Clark demolish UM.

Thanks Grimm – I’ll link to it in the Browns Open Thread today. That’s pretty unreal.

That channel is awesome. Thanks. Watching Mack destroy Greg Lloyd in the 92 highlight made my day.

Apparently the SI cover with Shaq and LeBron on it was not a regional cover as most of us suspected. Everyone received it.

Our starting TE is Estandia. This game is looking good!

Alex from above-Martin Rucker is now playing for the Eagles, cut by Mankinis for Estrandia. Enjoy.

Rucker is on the Eagles roster. He hasn’t played a minute as far as I can tell. He has 0 catches and according to his stat line has played in 0 games. Yeah, how dare Mangini cut that kind of production?
